from what I can tell, the Canuk's with any sense all flew down here month's ago, or worse yet, drove.

Crushers: I know, rocket science for a Yank ... common sense for us Canucks.

The above statement or "Wayneism" as I call it, makes me glad I am a son of the Confederacy and not a Yank. :D

that is a relief for us remaining behind ... i just wish you would KEEP them there.

personally, i love winter. the best wheeling is in the snow ... by far.

"Book of Wayneisms"
being written as we speak, to be published after Wayne is gone.

Wayne, You must be slipping in your old age. It took you almost 30 minutes to respond with another "Wayneism."
Your book will no doubt be on the "Best Sellers List" in the tundra area of Northern Canada. :D

nah, digging through the snow trying to find a bucket of tire chains ...
you should try winter wheeling sometime, you have NO idea what you are missing. you can't break anything, no traction. you can do a 180 on a steep hill in a snap of fingers. NEVER have to worry about bugs or snakes.
so many positives.

We can do the same thing ...... it's called mud and swamps.
The snakes and alligators are fairly lethargic this time of the year. :D

my first 8.5 years were in the mother land...the small time in the educational system never rubbed off! I know a few guys who work for the fire dept. here in Sarasota. My good buddy informed me they have been going non-stop the past month due to accidents and snow birds....plus suicide season is here.

So in case anyone is interested (since mine is different from charles) as assumed by wayne/charles, all this simpleton had to do was push them in more. Intermittent is as it is and on is constant, I can press the button all the way down and it will spray either way...which is a nice feature I think.

The 1995 toyota pickup I had wasn't even this fancy.

I saw my old Cruiser ( BJ71 ) at a garage today. According to the mechanic it has an electrical issue that is constantly draining the batteries.

12V radio to one battery?

Possibly.......
I'm haven't owned it for quite a while and honestly don't remember. It was in relatively good shape when I sold it but is now showing some rust in the rocker areas and door bottoms. I am not sure if the Cruiser is garaged.

Although my HJ75 cranks and runs well, the oil consumption has become unsustainable lately so I put it in the shop. This is the email from the shop.

I checked the compression and it is as follows
#1 450 psi
#2 388
#3 410
#4 430
#5 440
#6 420

The book says cylinder pressure should not be below 398 psi and no more than 28 psi spread from top cylinder to bottom cylinder
We are losing the most oil in #5 and #6 cylinders . Without disassembling the engine my judgment is that we have oil rings broke on #5 and #6 , The valve guides are most likely leaking on all cylinders.

Probably time for a rebuild.......

Or swapping engine ^^

ummm, compression rings have nothing to do with oil rings ...

rebuild, rebuild rebuild and then you will LOVE the old girl all over again ...
replace and you COULD be getting someone else's issues.

I am lining up the parts as we speak. Also talking to a machine shop about the head and crankshaft work. Hopefully done by Christmas...... :)

you will be loving doing it yourself ... i don't know of much else that brings personal pleasure as rebuilding an engine and having it fire to life when you are done.

Man.... I never received an email or phone call for parts consultation....

:(

:flipoff2:

Patience young grasshopper, the day is young. :)
