Can someone tell me what this does? It is connected to the on board air compressor.
Is it a filter of some type or an over pressure relief valve?

Charles,

What is shown on the photo is the air filter for the inlet to the compressor. The air filter is usually installed directly to the compressor inlet, however, in your case, it seems that they mount it on a different location using a little piece of pipe/tubing to connect it to the compressor itself.

The pressure switch is normally installed on the outlet port of the compressor.

Take care!

Thanks Alberto....
It actually is attached to a 10"-12" hose that allows it to be tucked in behind the battery boxes.

Is there any demand for this style of bumper ( BJ74 ) minus the winch?
Thanks....

not to anyone that wheels
but
to those that enjoy sitting out in the wilds or at the beach enjoying the scenery (sunsets) ... perfect spot for it.

Is that you Wayne or your wife? :D
Sounds very romantic.

both of us ...
when i recieved my first BJ74, it had the same setup as yours.
we used to head into the mountains and at the top of a ridge we would get out and sit on the front bumper and drink our tea. VERY comfortable. headlights for your back, chrome seat under your ass and the dogs laying at your feet.

just like being at home in the living room but with a better view.

I need that bumper for son's '62, his wife does "just a little bump" on all kinds of fixed objects

Romantic seating for 4 or the ability to carry numerous Jerry cans. :)

I took a picture of one with 2 motorcycles on the bumper, and the goats and wife in the back, I'll put it up when I find it.

Well you know me Wayne, I am never satisfied. Well I was almost satisfied with the LJ78 but not quite. :D

hold your breath, another 1.5 years and you can buy a 1990 HZJ77/PZJ77 and you will have perfection.
