When I depress the clutch pedal I do not get a squeak. However when I release the clutch pedal I get an obnoxious squeak (even with radio turned up :)). I have sprayed the clutch rod with silicone. That works for a short time then it is back. Is the only way to remedy change clutch master cylinder? Thank you..

Does it happen when you are driving and changing gears, and/or when you are just depressing and releasing the clutch when in neutral? I’m having a similar issue with an annoying squeal when releasing the clutch, especially when down shifting. Curious what people have to say about it.

I'm thinking throw out bearing. Pull the clutch cover, use a long p tube and carefully spray in a small amount of lube into the bearing. Look up a picture of your bearing first.

You could pull the clutch master cylinder and apply a little real "red rubber grease" to the seal/boot.

I sprayed clutch spring and slave spring liberally. Slave cylinder is new, clutch master is old. Still squeaks. Wondering if I should replace clutch master??
Did you replace and lube the pedal pivot bolt and or bushes? Did you isolate the pedal from the u shaped clamp that leads to the clutch master? Lube on the pin through the u shaped bracket and pedal? Cotter pin scratching against the pedal? Clutch rod touching firewall?

Some thoughts on likely culprits before you swop out the master. It will likely leak a long time before the plunger inside can screech against the walls.

Hijack: Anyone's clutch make a click sound once fully depressed? Sort of sounds like a switch of some sort, but can't seem to find one. Wonder if it could be the spring doing something funky?

@Wadesters - Have you find your solution yet?
