On the Cruiser factory Aisins with chromoly gears . If you referring to the trailer I bought new hubs from Southwest trailer equip with toyota 6 lug pattern so I could run just one spare for both my cruiser and trailer.

the site is:

Southwest Wheel Company - Hubs and Drums

scroll towards bottom of page for I went with new drum assembly:

655LB3E
10" hub/drum, 6 studs 5.5" bolt circle using L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearing. Contains inner bearing, outer bearing, seal, grease cap and lug nuts. (84 Spindle)

or I guess you can go with just new hub??

Purchased a 70 series air cleaner so I could cut top portion of lid off and incorporate onto my cyclonic air filter housing since the 70 series has a shorter snout. I was thinking of welding the portion once I got it aligned and when I get SS turbo tubing made to go from outlet of air cleaner to turbo but instead or at least for now I just added some military grade rubber foam and tightened down the lid and it works fine so I may just leave like that so I can make easy adjustments or I still may weld it down.

Kinda off topic but here is my newest ride I just picked up. 1985 MB 280GE, factory hydraulic lockers, coil springs on all corners, 4 speed, 4.10 gears, 2.8L twin cam inline FI 6 cylinder. So here I start again.

And picked up the optional rare tropical roof like some land rovers had.

What is the id of the 70 series air cleaner outlet? i want to go this route also for my 42 turbo build

My searching isn't very successful at the moment on the IN218 version. (I can't find any images.) I think I saw something on MUD about it being used on a 12 volt BJ60 ...But I wonder what type of connector it uses (round or rectangular) :hmm:

IN551 uses a rectangular 6-pin connector as shown in my schematic.

I hope it fits anyway Rob. (And for all I know you may have a round connector on your BJ42 anyway.)

Edit 24/2/10....IN218 is for internally-regulated alternators so it is unsuitable. IN551 is the ONLY suitable Transpo regulator for this application AFAIK.
Hey Tom you still around I hope , Need 12 v voltage regulator for my 1981 BJ42
