Awesome build. Very impressive! You've got to be happy you see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Why are you against the 3.7s ? I have 4.11s now and am considering putting in the 3.73s

Here it is Theo

After installing my new radiator and hoses on the weekend, I was worried that the bottom hose was too close to the fan belt. After looking at this pic it is the same as mine, so I won't fret about it any longer.

Awesome thread though, I'm subscribed

sorry fellas, been away awhile. Will post some more pics tonight if I can figure out how to do so on my Mac? On the R&P issue, I think it is just better off with 4.11's as came and I just switched to 33 x 12.5's so even a little taller than what I had on recently so with that coupled to my 5 speed I think I should still be fine on highway and I need to slow down more so now for these new wide tires got me all over the road. I am gettn ready in a few weeks to get all new mandrel bent SS exhaust made to include finally installing my toyota exhaust brake and maybe a fording tall stack in rear, pics will follow. I can say that the paint or powder coat that came on the MAF 4+ rear bumper I bought did not hold up one season here in MD, it looks like total sh**, I mean i have to take it off and get sandblasted and painted or powder coated for real this time, I am not sure for the $$$ of these bumbers why they are not better prepped with whatever product but damn. So I am taking all my parts off that are black and taking them for powder coating. Even my brand new OME springs are rusting, of course this was my first year up here in north. So new rims and tires on, added the hood latches and bumpers, added spotlights up front, added pacbrake (exhaust brake) shifter switch, MAF 4+ front vertical uprights welded to front bumper. Getting ready to post alot of military gear in for sale section in next couple days.

Roberto,

Thanks for the pic some month back on where to put my ultra rare AC Tensioner on my 3B. I put my OBO on hold untill recently. Now I "Think" my ac tensioner, that was off of a 1ht? diesel, is a little to far back from where the pulley lines up with the crank ac pulley.

Anyway, As soon as I leave this thread, going out to mount the compressor on my bracket and see if all the pullies line up. Using a strait edge to compare them all.

not installed exhaust brake yet, just the shifter switch. I actually just went to the exhaust shop today that is going to do mandrel bent 2.5" SS exhaust for me in a few weeks and told them about the exhaust brake as well as an exhaust stack in rear that I will clamp on and off if ever fording rivers or streams, lol. My little rig wants to look like the big boys. they noticed immediately how tight the turn is from back of turbo to firewall so needless to say they have their work cutout. Will post pics and results of exhaust brake when installed.

R

They claim you don't have to actually attach it to the turbo, rather it can be down stream(possibly the drop). Not to far as to interfere with your deep water fording adventures your planning -LOL back at ya!!! The undercarraige of that thing could be eaten off of.

Super clean and very well done

LOL, thanks fellas. Yeah the brake will be right past the bracket that holds front portion of side step on so that would be just beyond the curve heading towards back of truck. Fording, who am I kidding...

Forgot to add that I finally have plumbed the snorkel into the turbo and wow that snorkel growls right in my freakn ear. I can no longer hear my exhaust out rear drivers side which I would have to say was a more pleasant noise, lol

R

Rob - is the snorkel noise from the Top Spin pre-filter? If the pre-filter was removed how loud would it be. I'm wondering if a bigger pre-filter is needed.

What speed or rpm are you doing when it's bad. You're running a turbo too, so more air

good point, i will try it without topspin on. ANything 2000 RPM and up is loud.

R

so had my 2.5" SS exhaust installed to include toyo exhaust brake. Cant try it because the retard solenoid is 24V I just found out so trying to get that swapped out. the shop did a real clean job on all the welds and heavy duty isolators. also figured a way that I can use my existing air cleaner housing. I sawed off the top portion and am going to have the exhaust shop weld/ tac a 3"circle maybe 1" or so high to top and they can just put the silicone 90 elbow right on it and route into turbo. it actually worked out perfect and I wanted to keep my overseas cyclone housing. I will post more pics once they add this piece to top.
