For Sale 1982 Fj40/Carlsbad

Hi, does anyone in San Diego area know about the white 82 fj40 on Craigslist for sale? The guy didn't leave any contact info. It's located in Carlsbad.

Its what appears to be a pretty rust free 1982. 82 has all the upgrades you can get in an FJ40 (rear parking brake, split case, highway gears etc etc). Has all its emissions equipment, original paint, west coast truck. Comes with a nice set of accessories and new parts ready to install. I drop 5k in this rig, and sell it for 40k + all day long.

The truck is now on eBay. I would say from the photos that it does look like it has some rust through on the floors under the asphalt sheeting. I would guess that this cruiser is not as clean as you all think. It also states that the prior owner cut out the quarter panel rust and welded in new sheet metal. Good luck just look it over in person before buying it.

The hole in the floor was shown in the pics on the craigslist ad. It's a decent 40 but not $14-16k in my book. But again if it's on eBay who knows. That rustbucket that there was a thread about a couple of weeks ago went for over 10k there.

Original paint means nothing when you have to replace the floor boards and weld the holes in the rear 1/4's. I just think this rig needs a thorough inspection based on things that appear to be missing.
