Should be able to pick them up at your local dealer. Can't wait to see your seats.

Working on rebuilding the carb View attachment 1050563 and also wondering where I can get the replacements for these brake lines View attachment 1050564the seem to have seen better days.

The good news is my new car seat upholstery came in and while it might not be to some people's tastes, I think it is pretty beautiful. I'm currently in Qatar for a few days but when I'm back I'll go pick them up and show them off.

@beno can help you with obtaining new brake lines, he's the OEM Toyota parts man!

[QUOTE Max if you goto Toyodiy.com and register with their site... you can get all the toyota parts diagrams and go to your dealer for the parts... chances are they have a supply of stuff there :)[/QUOTE]

X2!
I got these brake lines from the local Toyota Dealer in Germany. It shouldn't be a problem.
(These stock parts did even fit with the 2.5 inch OME suspension system!).
Good luck!

@JohnnyC - that site no longer has part diagrams; but this one does

http://www.japan-parts.eu/

No worries, I'll look for them locally

@maxofarabia - I'm sure Al Aswar, Sharjah would have the parts, or can order them for you. I can check with the Qatar Toyota dealer if you give me the part numbers. Going there later this week.

PS - lover what you are going with your rig. Giving me a lot of ideas? :)

First of all thanks everyone for the help, I have new brake lines on the way from Al Ain and new shocks all round. Still waiting on my front axle (so the original with drums is off at the moment)

Hoping to get the replacement with disks here by tomorrow. Also on the look out for new front leaf springs as the ones my truck came with are pretty uneven :'(

not the best picture but without any weight on them they are about 1.5 inches different (in height not length).

The good news is the body is coming together and waiting for the axle and shocks so everything can be put back together and aligned before paint.

Still waiting on the dash and door panels to come together before I reveal the new interior but I love the color I chose so super excited to be seeing it come together. Stay tuned as hopefully the pace will begin to pick up as we get closer.

Seeing that it was taking much longer than I wanted it to, and the body alignment was put on hold until the springs were straight and I had decent shocks it was time for an intervention. So I jumped in my truck and drove to Al Ain.

A not so quick drive later I picked up my new brake lines

4 new shocks, and fuel + oil filters.

That however wasn't the fun part, the good bit comes when my amazing friend Ahmed stepped up and let me take his front axle, power steering box, and front springs off his hands.

. These weren't being used as he is converting his fj40 to coil springs.

So then truck all loaded up I drove back to Dubai and dropped all the goodies off at Performance Garage DXB.

springs and steering stuff.

And a closeup of the new hubs

- I was told that I need to change the internals of the front diff to the internals from my old front diff. But just by visual inspection doesn't look like they'll fit. So the idea is now to put the new hubs on my old axles so don't have to fiddle around with the diff.
