That sounds interesting. Of course, I have already bought the typical Chevy caliper kit.Lol, just yanking your chain. You are doing awesome work and I only wish I had your shop!
Still need to come over there and have you help me get the rear caliper adapter made to use 100 series rears for disk brakes..
Is there ANY chance you could as-build those york brackets and share for others to DIY build!?! I've saved all the york bracket I've ever seen, and this is the first of it's kind and looks like the best option out of all I've seen.Addressing the front of the motor:
The Clardy A/C compressor bracket makes accessing the oil cooler hose impossible without removing the accessory bracket, A/C compressor and alternator. In addition the accessory bracket shares mounting holes with the water pump. This makes for a tough field repair, so I am going to eliminate the oil cooler as well as clean up
My Plan:
New OEM water pump that does not have a provision for the oil cooler outlet.
New upper thermostat housing that eliminates the oil cooler nipple and the Air Injection BVSV valve that is located on top.
With the help of @Onur I have sourced an oil filter bracket without the oil cooler from Yemen.
New fan and fan clutch.
New York style A/C compressor, condenser and dryer
Fresh powder coat on the brackets.

Definitely not worth the cost, I can scab something together based on the photos.Hey @EWheeler, The short answer is yes, design and production manufacturing is what I do for a living. The design and/or first article is going to take some time. time=money. The second bracket would cost around $120, but the first one will be in the $500-700 range. I do not think this is a viable option for me to design or manufacture just a single bracket.
Somebody needs to be willing to bear the design and first article costs?
Looking good!I need the thank @TheRealFJ40 for this amazing box of OEM FJ40 nuts and bolts. Literally somebody disassembled an entire Fj40 and threw almost all of the hardware in this box. It had been a huge asset
