BTT - just a bump so they don't close the thread on me. Can't touch this build till I get some other stuff done.

Kevin,

Miker stopped by this afternoon on his way to SF and we both spent some time saying good things about you. That was after he helped me out with lots of good advice and invaluable feedback on the 40. Hope you're staying healthy and not working too hard. :)

Gus

I'm good thanks. Was going to do some sand blasting on Saturday but the rain shut me down so I did start making the crates

have you ever tried the horse ranch just outside of Yahha Tinda ranch? pretty cool ride, the switch back on the return ride is ... nerving.
canoeing the Red at that location can be a lot of fun as well.

cheers

I'm getting withdrawals from not being able to see any of your tinkering.....

Josh

I have now. Thanks. The shakes are subsiding.

I need to look further than my subscribed list occasionally I reckon.

Kevin:

I recently saw one of your 45 beds. Holy crap that thing was beautiful!

Hurry up on the 42, but don't let me catch up to you if I ever get to working on my 45. You know you've done something wrong when I catch up to you. No pressure though. ;)

Dan

Where did you see one of his beds? I really want to check one out.

Fair warning Kevin: I'm helping Dan with his 45 next weekend. Of course this will actually slow him down. No need to thank me.
Josh

Thats too bad she decided to sell. She was great to deal with. Truck has potential.

I was at the Rising Sun Swap Meet last month and was able to see this one.

That's the one and place I saw it.

If I weren't so set on a trayback, I'd be kicking myself for not buying one of your beds Kevin.

Dan

So sad I couldn't make it this year.

If I wasn't so tall I'd buy one to put behind the tub I have. Love the look of the 45 pickup, just can't drive one :-(

I should let everyone know I will be making several extra tailgates as part of my bed production. So if you have been wanting one for some time but didn't want the hassle of buying overseas let me know. They will be full on original replicas with the raised lettering. Let me know if you need the three or four hinge style too. They'll be $500.00 Canadian funds. Each. Plus shipping. I haven't figured out shipping yet. Could be a limited time offer. No pressure!

Kevin,

Interested in two--a three-hinge and a four-hinge, dependent on shipping to Los Angeles area.
These will be fully-welded?
Time frame for production?

here is the thread where I'm documenting the tailgate build as an extension of my bed run ---> https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj45-owners-club/495747-building-more-lpb-beds-come-watch.html

Fully welded? Well it will be spot welded like the original but there are a couple spots where I will put a little TIG weld for strength. The eye where the chains hook in for example.

Time frame? Well it's all I'm working on right now. I'm hoping three weeks or so but I am notorious for over-estimating my free time
