Looking for recommendations for an aftermarket alternator for an 11/78 2F FJ40.

Manufacturer and part numbers would be helpful!

Just trying to get her back on the road ASAP. No luck finding a new OEM. Figured if there’s a good aftermarket alternative I can try to pick one up at a local parts shop.

I swapped my '77 FJ55 alternator for a 60 series. Direct drop in mechanically but it's an internal regulated alternator so you need to bypass the external regulator. Coolerman makes a bypass kit.

Part number is mostly unreadable. See image for reference. Amperage unknown.

Was the alternator for the 60 series available new OEM?

I’ve had good luck with the Rock Auto rebuilds. OEM parts for them have dried up to rebuild the Densos.
