Just installed an electric pump and it does the same exact thing. ARG. At this point, the issue HAS to be localized to the carb itself.

If you’re reasonably sure it’s the carb, maybe the float drop on the needle and seat assembly is too tight.
take steel cable and untangle the end and use it to scour out your metal brake lines then flush them.
Exactly,Are you suggesting using cable like winch cable and fraying the end on purpose so it acts like a scouring brush?
