my brake proportioning valve is stuck so i decided to disassemble and clean. i was able to take the nut off but not sure where to go from here. any advice appreciated.

Proportioning Valve photos Disassembled
I took my proportioning valve apart because the rear drum brakes were locking up before the front discs. After cleaning all the rusty looking sediment off the internals, and brushing the inside of the housing with a brass shotgun brush, the brakes are much more reliable. i actually saw this; however, per my photos, i dont see the spring and other parts in mine
gotcha. so should i just order an oem style from cityracerllc in your opinion?

Proportioning valve restoration
I obtained this a while back (thanks @65swb45) Tore it apart and cleaned it out, replaced the piston and u-cup seals with the kit from Muscle Car Research. Cleaned up the rusted end caps, tried my hand at home Ni and Cu plating (Instructables.com), I think they turned out pretty good...forum.ih8mud.com
