Didn’t make it there this year. How’s the truck coming along, let me know if you need anything as you get that on the road. I’m guessing your not far from me so I can always swing over.Yah..I miss it. Have you been there?
Finally is running ... don't have a chance to go on the road. Just only on the driveway.Didn’t make it there this year. How’s the truck coming along, let me know if you need anything as you get that on the road. I’m guessing your not far from me so I can always swing over.
Oops, didn’t see the second response. Shaping up really nice!Didn’t make it there this year. How’s the truck coming along, let me know if you need anything as you get that on the road. I’m guessing your not far from me so I can always swing over.
yeah they are cold blooded, I’m told the engines need warm air run properly. Something like 85 to 90, that’s why the old style air cleaners had a thermostatically controlled inlet, on start up the flapper would close and you draw air from the exhaust manifold riser tube. I have headers so I took some flexible metal exhaust and made a heat riser to the air cleaner for the fall/winterFinally is running ... don't have a chance to go on the road. It takes a few minutes to warm up (from a cold start). If press acceleration in the first minute after starting the engine dies.
The vacuum is good, the compression is good. Amp shows almost +30 in the first minute of running and lowers almost to the middle after a few minutes.
Warm start with no problem at all. Probably will work on doors and herd top this fall/winter and register in the spring.
Always welcome to come over. I will send you PM.
Excellent cameras. Did you shoot color or BW?Forgot to mention, I also shoot a lot of 8x10 photography. I have a Sinar P and a Deardorff V8.
My Deardorff and Shen Hao 617 while on assignment in Wyoming last year.
I shoot everything. Paper, direct positive paper, B&w, c-41 and slide. I’ll tell you, there is nothing like viewing an 8x10 slide on a light table.Excellent cameras. Did you shoot color or BW?
I mostly shoot BW
Also, 8x10 often soot on X-ray film (it is cheaper). It could be developed with red light.
only for 4x5 ..I shoot everything. Paper, direct positive paper, B&w, c-41 and slide. I’ll tell you, there is nothing like viewing an 8x10 slide on a light table.
Develop at home if it’s personal, send to a place in Denver if it’s for work.
Have you seen the stearman press 8x10 developing tray/tank?
This was my craziest project to date. Ended up going even bigger after this:
That’s a great story. I toyed with getting a 20x24 camera to shoot film with but quickly realized I’m capable of shooting any size film with my get up.Ian @RevISK I was up in Skagit Valley years ago wasting film in the tulip fields and this man and son pull up next to me with a SUV pulling a modified single horse trailer. Over the next hour or so they unpacked a 20x24 field camera that had some sort of lens used on surveillance aircraft (he worked for Boeing as I did at the time). He made an image (eventually) on 20x24 Kodachrome and developed it immediately in the trailer which was his mobile darkroom. He took the image with the camera mounted on top of the trailer. Until your post, this was the largest camera in use I’ve ever seen! He mounts his images in backlit frames.
I still have a goodly amount of Ilfochrome paper but no bleach for it anymore. Been hoping Freestyle or some European company would repop Ilfochrome chemicals and paper.

There is also the RA4(?) process you can do with B&W paper to make color, haven’t tried it though.Cibachrome Bleach recipe
quinoline 50 ml
Sodium hypophosphite 5 g
Potassium Iodide 10 g
Sulfuric acid conc. 75 ml
Water to 1 liter.
I just found it in some photo forum..
