Sucked it right up nice and clean

Added the battery tray back and it’s resting on the passenger side bellhousing mount without a puck. That’s about the angle I will want the engine with the 60 crossmember

At home. The F dressing will make more sense when the air cleaner goes on.

Tapped an early oil filter housing to 1/8 NPT for the Dakota oil pressure gauge

This is exactly what I want to do with my 2F.

Curious as to which water pump you went with. I'm deciding how to best eliminate the oil cooler on my '84. Will an earlier water pump bolt right on?

Also, what's the part number on that oil filter attach fitting?

This is a oil cooler style Aisin water pump and I used some cap that @ToyotaMatt sells. I looked for a replacement today on his site and could not find it.

This is the one I normally use

The oil filter housing is anything pre oil cooler. If you can find one with the bung already in it then it’s 1/8” BSPT and will use a Toyota pressure gauge

This one had no hole at all so I got a tap and die set for it to do the NPT threads for the Dakota sensor

I already have a new-ish pump, so I'll hit up toyotaMatt

Thanks!

But once you're out on the road for a few seconds it picks up and reads properly, correct? No need for it to read a GPS speed signal when parked and off in a barn.

It just takes too long in my opinion. Last time I was with John it was about 7 miles before it kicked in. I also have a external antennae on it.

The Tcase one works fine. It’s just more junk.

Did u use the antenna? Mine picks up as soon as I am on my driveway and have had zero issues

Sent some knobs and pull cables to Matt this morning.

Time to bite this bullet and get into these axles for a 3.70 swap. I’ve been sitting on a nice set of gears and a Auburn LSD with only 10,000 miles on it built by my man @RustyNailJustin

This little axle stand is legit for tear downs

Maybe it’s where John lives. Yea. It’s at the windshield. Do you have a metal building it sits in? I noticed a lot of delay here coming out of my shop but not as bad as 7 + miles.

It depends. If you live in a part of the country where there are no trees you are fine. All of the roads around where I live are canopy roads. It usually takes me about 7 miles of driving before I get it to pick up.

Zepp Purple did it’s thing followed with some pressure wash

Then I stood em up and coated them heavily with some POR15
