I am finishing an engine swap in my 1970 FJ40. The original 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed transmission ran like a sewing machine. I am ready to sell the engine and transmission. What would be a fair price?

No clue what its worth or what you can get, however you should measure and post the dry/wet compression #'s and at least the idle oil pressure and the mileage as best you can. That would mean a lot more to me than runs good.

Thanks! I have a run video but it couldn't post it. I regret not measuring the dry/wet compression numbers before removing the engine.

The engine before my current one was bought after hearing it run on the ground. Battery and a quart oil can of gas also sitting on the ground with the exhaust hooked up. No radiator so we didn't run it long

I would spend some time looking through the classifieds here on mud and see what other engines have sold for and adjust accordingly if yours is more complete or offers any extras.
