Have a 1970 carb with mechanical secondaries What base line setting to start tuning for idle speed and idle mixture screw had it running decent added a recurve distributor and throttle cable was adjusted so stating over i will be using vacuum gauge and rpm gauge thanks

There's not much difference between the basics of it.

Carb tuning is the same across all carbs period. Lean drop/mixture setting is a universal method, so pick your preferred idle and set mixture according to that speed.
