Finally got tired of these military aviation seat belts. The detent balls started to get sticky from internal corrosion, so decided to get some of those reproduction Toyota seatbelts you are in ads.

Of course, I saw they had two left in purple, so....

Now that our barn/workshop is getting closer to completion, I think it's time to get back to work.

We are considering another epic road trip in the spring, focused on the Lincoln Highway. Before we go, several things need to happen.

1. Front end alignment - still eating front tires faster than I'd like. Wear is excessive on the inside. Since these are not adjustable for camber, is there anything I can do?

2. Door restoration. All rubber and felts are either missing or shot. Also, the driver's door needs some weld repairs. Looking at the cost of a complete kit, I'm wondering if I should just get FST doors and restore those and sell the doors on it.

3. Windshield pad replacement - How good is the cheaper pad replacements? Or should I just bite the bullet and get the expensive one?

4. I'm tired of leaks and fluid swapping between the trans and transfer case. And the tube thing I bought doesn't appear to do anything. Considering buying a 3 speed that's been overhauled or overhauling a core 3 speed to minimize time off the road.

5. Brakes - I still have the original soft lines, even though I have a replacement kit, because I wasn't willing to damage the tabs and hard lines removing them. Also, my right rear is still leaking fluid, even though it's been replaced.

6. Cooling - Needs at a minimum a permanently wired fan in the passenger compartment.

7. Insulation - Need to apply insulation to the floor boards to cut down noise. Radial tires plus new exhaust has spoiled me as to how quiet this rig can be.

BTW, scrap that FST door idea. The real question is should I spend $560 on OEM rubbers/felts or $440 on reproduction.
