Glad you got it man!

Your old Pig looks more natural parked next to my current Pig than the 45 did. That truck is like a museum piece and way too cool for me.

The video I was sent before I pulled the trigger....

The truck when it lived in Canada trying to win a contest.

So I got to look truck over tonight and it truly is an amazing truck. I’ve worked on 60s, 80s, and 100s, but this is my first dive into the 40 platform. I want this truck to be solid and easy to drive. So I am going to start with a baseline and try to source the missing parts I see. I know I’m missing wiper arms and have plenty of open holes in the dash. Help me fill in the blanks. Passenger rear reflector missing, drivers side rusted pretty bad, big catcher windows missing some of the hardware etc. looks like some donor parts from a white 40 I will need to color match... or leave. If you have any parts I need please let me know. If you see what I’m missing let me know that too!

The 65 isn’t visible anymore on the vin tag. But still cool.

I see some safety issues that should be taken care of soon:
1. Driver's side mirror that mounts to the cowl - available new from many vendors
2. Rear view mirror glass
3. Master brake cylinder switch to dual reservoir
4. Passenger side rear reflector - found mine on eBay for cheap
5. Missing defroster vents and heater fan switch - may not be urgent since you're in a warmer climate or run with windshield down
6. Wipers
7. Clips for your wiper wires - I might have some

Other cosmetic things:
8. Windshield hold down latches that mount on the hood - Cityracer sells a nice set
9. The white 50/50 hood hinges may be original, look for a FJ25 cast in the hinge followed by a part number
10. Tailgate hinge - I might have one
11. Bugcatcher window gaskets - Cruiser Outfitters sells them now
12. Bugcatcher knobs - I think Spector sells a black reproduction, I might have an original white set
13. Pyramidal vinyl for your running boards - Some outfit out east still sells it
14. The hole on the passenger side of the cowl may have been a CB antenna. Mine had a similar hole that was letting water in to the glovebox and causing rust.
15. The holes in the dash left of the ignition may have been aftermarket gages or aftermarket wiper fluid pump. Mine had similar holes.
16. The heater control panel has 3 holes, the left is filled by a chrome metal plug and the middle is your fan speed control knob.

Some of these items I'm sure you were aware of, simply listed what I saw. My truck is 22012, they might have been on the assembly line together.
All in all a very cool truck! Lucky to have it.

Thanks for info. I had some of that on the list but definitely added more. Anything you see I need and you may have shoot me a message with pricing I’m looking for sure.

Side mirror has already been ordered and you are correct my glove box door is rusted inside pretty bad with one of the hinge feet broken.

I drove it around the block a few times today and it’s a blast, however, it’s gonna get parked so I can get some TLC into and make it road ready for sure.

My son in @wngrog goat a couple years ago and then him in my 45 today! Pretty cool most 4 year olds don’t get to ride in two US pec 45lwbs....
