Can anyone share paint code, card or chip for early FJ40 Volcanic Beige?

Awhile back I asked a board member who gave me answer of "it's just Toyota 416 beige with a little bit of white"

Now I know that would probably do, but somebody on here who keeps meticulous stats on everything Land Cruiser probably has a better Paint Code, no?

Scanned in the paint chips I have for that color. I don't know if that is 67-69 Toyota or 67-69 Land Cruiser. Sometimes the paint manufacturer will list the vehicle make and model. For Volcanic Beige, it just says Toyota.

The only reference to a beige in 1962 is India Ivory (T-446). There isn't a paint chip so who knows if this is a Land Cruiser color. Coronado or Colorado Beige (T-451) was 67-71.

So Volcanic Beige is not an original 1962 FJ40 color?

I am not certain is my best answer. Wesintl has a '63 hardtop that is beige and borrowed all my paint chips to see if he could identify the color. I need to find his thread to see what he decided on. I am guessing that thread is the one you found Volcanic Beige in.

Not sure when Toyota started painting the bumperettes pewter but I know there was at least two shades of beige pre 68. My 9/67 (68) has pewter bumperettes for reference. Unfortunately the guy I got these from had Alzheimer's so the history was limited.

I believe the darker color is close to the Coronado Beige on my 10/69 (70) FJ40

Really need to take some pictures with better light.

So did you end up with your old 62 FST again?

Regarding this post and an email fjfjfj sent me the body color should be lily white T-403, which is still known. Roof and bezel should be Ivory shell T-302 which is not known. This should be very close to LS123 he said. HTH

Not saying it is incorrect, just posting that the research was to find the closest color and our documentation may not be correct.

T-302 Shell Ivory = the chart I have says 1972 but then again it says 1972 for the silver bumper color. There were silver bumpers earlier as far as I knew but maybe not that silver?

T-403 Lilly White = 1965-1967

There is a good chance at least one of those bumperettes was out of a 63 at the latest. Along with the bumperettes got a early tool roll and two 63 dated owner's manuals. May not have had beige in 62 but guessing 63 did. The best I could get out of the guy was he and his father bought new FJ40s in the early sixties. They removed the bumperettes when new and installed a heavy piece of angle iron across the back. The 70 I bought from him was he same way. He had the original rear bumperettes for the 70 as well and rear steps from the 70 and two wider earlier ones.

India Ivory is beige according to Toyota but I don't have a color sample for it. Shell Ivory was a Land Cruiser bezel and roof color at some point.

T-446 India Ivory - beige - 1959-1965 (unknown if Land Cruiser)
T-302 Shell Ivory - white - Was a Land Cruiser roof color in 1972 (unknown if earlier yet but I assume it was)
