Me and electrical stuff are still not friends, but this hasn't been going terribly.

Are you keeping the charge light functionality (from the WR wire IIRC)?

Mine is getting rebuilt as we speak. I shipped it to Oregon to a shop that can do the early FJ40s.

I was genuinely concerned about this motor.
The tube/shaft for the wiper arm mounting was seized up with crude...0% movement, after removing the motor cover the windings looked pretty toasty and had that "the smoke was already let out smell." I got to cleaning anyway. With it being well known that electric hates me, it took lots digging and reading and bit of liquid courage to figure out how to bench and not finish burning it up...
Chalking up another win.

Turns out 2f valve cover grommets work for wiper motor packing too.
I dont recall what if anything was used for the interior fasteners for either a packing or a spacer, as i don't think the gap was quite as large with the oe rubber gasket.

Do you have a link to the grease you used for the wiper motors??
I just put some white lithium in them.
I want them to work, but honestly they're not going to see much rain any more.

Mc master Carr has the correct rubber washers for between the motor and the frame, and also the ones that go under the rounded chrome washer. They also have a grommet for the mounting screw, not bolt.
I’ll try to find a photo.
