Baktasht, updates? I don't want any lip outta you Les, simply want to know if progress has been made![]()
Seriously though... Last time I checked it was still August.
Uhhh yeah....
Till tomorrow
Last Baktash post was in freakin' MAY!!
Just in this thread. He has had frequent activity on the forum.
I would like an update as well. I'm anxious to install a full header/exhaust system.
You seem to have a chip on your shoulder and like to lash out at him. If he had taken orders and peoples money I would understand, but he hasn't. Priorities and resources in a business change. I know he lost some people and is short handed. With less people you focus on the orders recived to deliver to paying customers.
If you want headers, buy the DT headers. I did and am happy with them. I am happy that he is trying to make more products for the 100 series, but won't smack if he isnt ready when he thought it should be. The DT headers were months late after the initial promise date. Not smaking DT, I don't want them on the market till they feel they are ready and they don't owe it to me to meet their date. Why do you think Baktash is accountable to you? you sure come across that way
BTW - the mods don't delete anything because he asks. Your posts were deleted as chat. What tech value are you adding here?
I don't see the DT design as Headers, don't take that personally. They just don't look like much of an improvement over the OEM manifold in respect to being headers.
You call my post "lashing out".
I didn't set any deadlines.
I didn't make any delivery promises.
I didn't quit answering my own thread.
Yes, DT was very late on their original estimates. But they kept everybody in the loop and they have a very good reputation on the net for their great customer service and support. It was a no brainer to trust and believe them.
I was going to buy the DT's, but then EMS said they were producing headers. Real Headers.

Part of running a business is managing customers expectations. Expectations that may be based upon statements made by the owner.
This is after all, Baktahs's thread, for his product, that he announced.

Yes, but the latter half of this thread has been dominated by you throwing out jabs at him for timeliness.
I'm not swinging from his nuts, but I think that your compulsive need to reply to every post in this thread about how he's late or a bad communicator (or whatever) is excessive.
He's late on his anticipated release date. You're grouchy about it. WE GET IT. Put on your big girl panties, tough out the wait on R&D, and have a![]()
I see both sides. Yes, Lesgarten is posting way too negatively much too frequently, but also I feel like it is Baktasht's responsibility to keep his thread updated with any progress or lack thereof on the product that they are currently developing. Or at least that's what I would strive to do if I were in his position.

I was wondering what the current ETA is on the 100 series headers. There hasn't been an update in the thread for a while. and I want to buy the midpipe + exhaust, but I don't want to end up paying for two sets of mid pipes when buying the headers as well.

Hi Al,
Thanks for your interest in the EMSPowered headers. We've actually been all finished with them and ready to build the first batch for several months now. But our fabrication workload has grown by 3x our normal volume due to the popularity of our FZJ80 (93-97) and UZJ100 (98-2007) exhaust systems. As we try to make sure everyone's current orders for existing products go out in a timely manner we put the 100-series headers on a brief hold until we get ramped up and have 2 additional fulltime fabricators on staff that are capable of doing this type of work. It's not easy finding guys talented enough to do the type of work we do, so it takes a little time to get the right type of people hired on.
I havent really updated the header thread to avoid more silly replies.
With the huge demand that we see building up for our 100-series performance headers along with the increasing popularity of our current product lines, we forsee long delays and wait times if we build them right now. I am hoping to build the first production batch of the 100-series performance headers soon. Plan is to have them built and ready to ship before the end of the year, but there are many factors that may cause this date to be sooner, or later than planned.
If you are 100% set on getting the headers, I'd suggest getting the catback system now and the headers once they're ready to ship. That way you're not paying for essentially two sets of midpipes since the headers come with their own midpipes.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for the quick response. Do you mind if I quote this conversation and post it in the thread for the other interested folks? If you do mind, not a problem.
Sure thing, that's no problem.
^^^ Thanks for posting that Reverend
Looks like the thread is getting a bit heated, so a reply is in order
As in my reply to Reverend posted above, and many other folks who have inquired... the EMSPowered 100-series headers have been finsihed and ready to do the first production batch for you guys for quite some time now. But we've held off to avoid huge delays in our build queue. The sales volume of our Land Cruiser specific products have approximately tripled over the last year. With the addition of the 100-series performance headers, and 8-10 other NEW products that we have ready for production we need to get ramped up with 2 more fulltime fabricators and some planning in order to keep orders going out to you guys in a timely manner.
We'll get these built and ready to ship as quickly as we can while keeping the quality top notch EMSPowered stylewith what you guys have come to expect from a quality made EMSPowered product. In the mean time, please be patient and know that we are working towards getting all sorts of new products to you guys (more 100-series goodies coming too). If you're in a time crunch and need headers to replace broken stock ones now, this isn't going to work out for you since they're not ready to ship yet. But if you're wanting the best performance headers available for the 100-series, then it'll be worth the wait.
Let me know if you guys have any questions.
EDIT: And I have to say, We love you guys! Even you LesWe do what we do because we enjoy being a part of this great community.
