What tires are you running? Need an upgrade and like the look!
Thanks
33"x 12.5" BFG w/ powdercoated black wagon wheels.

Looking great. Is that the original brake booster?
Thanks. It is the original booster painted with eastwoods cad paint kit, a 4 step process.

Great looking build!

Here is where the Charcoal Canister goes.

It is between the battery and the firewall on the inner passenger fender apron.

The bfg's are not that skinny. I will take another pic. I will putting up my pics of the plated headlight buckets and coil parts. My 9 yr. old sand down the actual coil down to bare metal last night.:).

Man that thing is looking great!

I am jealous!

Thanks. It has been a 2-3 yr process. FYI. If anyone wants to go above and beyond, I sent in my old fuel lines to Classic Tube - PreBent and Custom Stainless and OE Brake Lines and more.... I also got all my brake lines from them, so all hard lines in the rig will be stainless:skull:.

Hey georg
pm sent. That is sweet, and you are right, with all the stainless I have going on.

coil/ headlight buckets replated

Got my buckets and coil parts back. Assembled both, and am really happy. The black stuff on the front of the bucket is crap I failed to clean off. Plater can't remove that, but in any event, headlight buckets are discontinued. Anyone out there- get your stuff plated.

Great lookin stuff. Good to see another Wi 40 out there...

Looks great, I am doing a restore too and am looking at starting a thread, but anyways I just had a bucket of parts plated in Spokane if anyone needs the info pm me for the address and some prep tips. I makes the parts look new and cost is very min. for what you get, I had event the fan shroud done and it is a large piece,

Question on the Coil, I know the process is not supose to effect rubber or plastic, did you have the hole coil dipped or did you tear it apart, or can it be torn apart, I would love to get it back together,

Also had my booster don, eashy disasembly (took a lot of pics) also carb parts except alum. and the list goes on.... but still finding stuff that I wish I did, oh ya did a brake line only one and am kicking my self for not doing them all) door parts to include latch and stop....

Have pics if someone wants to see what the look like

Great rig and I am still a year out on completing mine, this really get me motivated!!!!

I guess I should review my postings first, spelling and grammar is not my strong point!

Can't wait to see your completed rig!

The only thing on the coil I did not do was the circuit board part. Did not want to mess with that. Plater told me that it does not harm plastic and the like. I plated everything else on the coil.
Here is a pic of the part in question.

I will have to send it in the next batch I am still finding stuff I wish I did, the problem here is they have a flat rate and it cost the same to a few items as it dose a bucket full.

The few things that didn't turn out they were great about taking them in for a second time and fixing them.

Thanks for the info!

the plated parts look super sexy! i'll have to keep that in mind for a build-up i'm doing right now for a customer.

there's some more bling heading your way also. :grinpimp:

I ran into the same thing with my plater. No matter what or how much you bring in=flat rate. Any other mudders out there, if you are thinking about it, make one trip. Shane told me that too:bang:

Plating vs. new hardware is a no brainer. I have about 5000 nuts and bolts zinc plate if you want them, otherwise I am sending them back. Can't wait for the bezel...

As Ive mentioned before I have same quarters and rockers. How did you resolve the door issue, or did you?

I'm thinking of repairing rusty rockers if this is going to be a huge problem....
Okay Talked to the body man today(he finally finished my doors). He said he had to "stretch" the body, did not use one of the rockers because he had to fabricate the piece with the point which meets near the bottom of the door. He said, if you had the cash, go with a 3/4 tub. Definately did not like working with the 1/2 tub and rockers. I also asked him if repairing the rust demons would have been better, again no. Hope this helps, but if I had to do it over again, I would have sprung for a pilgrim tub when they were available here on mud instead of the $5k+ price on ccot.
