have you guys done some business with them? Good or bad, I want you opinions before buying from them. Thanks

They were ok. My stuff got to my house eventually. With every order though, there has always been an issue. Once they sent me the wrong stuff, and most of the other times it has taken forever for them to ship. Great guys to talk with, just seems like poor follow through. I'd give them a 7 out of 10.

why not just do business in Canada with 4 wheel auto in Edmonton .
Daryl

I need a poly fuel tank, and I don't see it on their website...

Once but never again... search and I don't think you will find favorable feedback.

I have bought a few things from them. Even had to return a part. Never a problem. Maybe I have just been lucky. I probably wont buy from them anymore since they arent a supporter of "mud".

may wanna search a bit on the poly fuel tanks too....heard lots of good and bad on that item as well...

Echo ... one order. Never again. They went above and beyond to make me unhappy.

I've made a few purchases from JTO. I used to make an effort to support them since Joe used to be an LCML'er back in the day.

Then I bought my Weber from him. The web description (I also asked specifically over the phone) said that it was a 'complete kit' with nothing else needed. It bolted on and idled fine, but there was no provision for a throttle linkage. I emailed Joe, who told me I needed to spend another $100 on a cable linkage and new pedal assembly. I told him that I had been told specifically that my mechanical linkage would hook right up. He said he had a couple 64ish cruisers around and he'd get one of his mechanics to look it over and see what I needed to do.

2 weeks later, I emailed him back and he said he'd get his guy on it right away. Another 2 weeks later, and he said he'd contact Weber directly to try to find the right linkage arm I needed. One more week and I still had nothing and Joe stopped replying to my emails. I ended up cutting the stock arm at an angle, flipping it, and re-welding it where I needed it so it worked with the stock linkage. Thanks for nothing. :flipoff2: I contacted Joe to explain that I was very unhappy with the service and told him that I would just let it go as long as he agreed to change the description on the web page so that others might not fall into the same trap. He did.

A few months ago, I was checking out the website and noticed a typo in the tire section. The 38" (or something bigger than what I could possibly fit) tsl swampers were missing a digit in the price box, so the price rang up as $21 or something each. I promptly ordered 5 :D About an hour later, I got an email from Joe explaining the mistake and asking if I would still like to purchase them at the regular price. He sent me a free hat for catching the mistake.

I think his business grew so fast that he couldn't keep up all his promises. I may purchase parts from him again, but nothing big and certainly not anything that may require any after-the-sale customer service.

YMMV,
Eric

after buying pinnacles springs for my wagon, i won't buy from him again. it's now been six months and, yes, they have sent out two replacement springs in that time, but i still have problems, they have been slow to respond, he tells me he'll contact me and doesn't, i have to contact him. now, i've got a useless $800 lift kit that i have to replace and i don't have that kind of money laying around.

I bought a F/2F header for my 78 2F and was unimpressed with the condition in which it arrived. It was covered in surface rust and needed grinding for it to fit. What really got me was that man-a-fre had what appeared to be the exact same header for the same price, but came powder coated! I doubt I will buy from JTO again, unless it's something that I can't get from anywhere else.

Thanks guys for your help. I sure won't spend my money on bad business! There is also man-a-fre and classic cruisers who sells the tank. Are they better?

Woody, what are the good and bad things you heard about this tank? I like the idea of a rust free tank.

Again, a big thank to all you cruiserheads

Never bought from jto and never will buy from them since he stole Don Anway's transfer case saver idea from him. Wouldn't return any calls or emails from Don. Don't care to spend my hard earned dollars vendors like jto.

I can't believe they are still in business. All you guys had crap and trouble with them... but thet don't do anything to give better (correct) service.
I hope the boss will read all these post :flipoff2:

I had a really good experience with them about 8 months ago with a lift kit, wheels, carb, misc small crap. Got everything I ordered on time and in good condition. Even had to return a carb that I ordered twice (don't ask) with no restock charge.

Anything is better than a Man-Afraid-Nightmare.

while I will continue to bitch about SOR.com and their shipping charges, they are the ONLY vendor I've used that hasn't screwed me over.

JTO has sent the wrong parts several times and flat out screwed up shipping and acted like nothing ever happened and wouldn't answer e-mails.

MAF - I hope you don't need those parts this year... or the next!

I've ordered from them several times, always prompt and very good service.

My 2 cents......
