Very poorly done Photoshop color change.
Might not even be Photoshop. Might be MS Paint......

Where’s my parade?
Last night I was calculating zinc load in my oil if I added 1oz of the Lucas stuff that’s like straight zinc in a bottlebUt HoW mUcH zInC iS tHeRe iN iT!?!
I just use the AMSOIL 10W-40 that has zinc in itLast night I was calculating zinc load in my oil if I added 1oz of the Lucas stuff that’s like straight zinc in a bottle
I guess I’m one of “them” now.

No, that’s where the gun show is at.
True, any zinc is bad for catalytic converters (which our 60s and 62s have), however zinc is necessary to prevent excessive wear on flat tappet cams (which our 60s and 62s also have). So we're given a catch-22 by having both flat tappet cams AND catalytic converters. Now obviously we can't just swap the valvetrain to a more modern design, and of course we want our engines to last as long as possible, so what are we to do when this necessitates the use of a zinc-containing oil?MOBIL 1 does not offer 20W-50
Valvoline offers both high zinc rich 20W-50 Fully Synthetic
and
Catalytic Converter Compliant / non-harmful 20W-50 Fully Synthetic also
oh......yea ,
- the catalytic converter safe 20W-50 below is the ONLY API certified fully synthetic i could find on the usa market today also , if anyone's knows another PLEASE post it
see your 1962-1997 Glove Box Owners manual viscosity chart too .....
