We did keep our trucks 6 ft apart.

Changed out my rear LCA bushings (with some assistance).... Such a pain maybe next time I'll just pay Riverview for the full new arms

I put a tent on my 80. Not sure how much I like it, but it's there and the cover matches the truck.

I really enjoy having the tent. I've found that if I aim the truck due South, I get a lot of shade at the tailgate and left or right side as the sun moves around. That extra 4 foot height really helps block the sun!

Setup/teardown was a bit of pain before I bought a Gorilla Ladder. Now it takes just a few minutes for setup or tear down and I'm not teetering on a tire or slider or pulling something out of whack trying to reach and heave things around. I love this thing! I had a hitch adapter fabbed up and when clearance doesn't allow for hitch carry, I can toss it on top, in the back or in the 2nd row floor. It has great vertical adjustability and frequently doubles as a table which is strong enough to hold all my Rigid gear boxes. The best part in table-mode, is it isn't sensitive to heat like my plastic table is.

<edit> Forgot that I added a 4" hitch raising adapter that boosts it up a lot.

Nice under-truck camp lighting. That's been on my to-do list for a while. How's it at keeping the bugs away from you?
All I did was take a few Free Harbor Freight tool lights and stuck them under there for a photo shot.

Nice and simple! The pic looks great!

Pic / details/ link on hitch adapter? Thx

Bought the riser on Amazon: Amazon product ASIN B007448NC2
The Hitch Adapter itself is a custom fabbed part. Pretty simple, made mostly out of scrap. It's a slab of 3/16" plate steel, 6" of Class III receiver tubing, some rectangle channel stand offs and some bracing ears all welded up and bolted through the step platform.

Main Plate: 5" x 10" x 3/16"
Tubing: Class III Receiver Tube, 6" long
Rectangle Channel: 1" x 2" x 1/8"
Braces: 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 3/16"
Bolts: 6x 5/16" x 3" with fender and lock washers

Son #1 turned 18 last week, he wanted some new tougher looking tires. Well I'll never say no to an upgrade. It was a little more than what we allocated to spend but he was more than happy to kick in some bday money and savings. Searched CL forever hoping to get lucky on some used but stumbled upon some Cooper Evolution MTs at Walmart on sale, saved $200 on the set (fyi Discount does match/beat sale prices despite what their site says). I had never heard of these but supposedly behave decent on road. His is only 2WD but hey it's AZ, all of the truck guys do it and they don't offroad, plus he said they look awesome so that's all that matters. Maybe evolve it into a pre-runner, and/or someday get a rear locker setup. Rubs on the front bumper so will look closer into trimming needs later.

He also bought Spidertrax spacers a few months ago so getting those installed. Fronts done. Premature post as the rears aren't done but excited about the look and wanted to share.

Finally got the ham radio installed in the new cruiser. Mounted the remote faceplate in the sunglasses holder in the overhead console. Mounted the radio body in the CD changer location in the center console. I'm curious how it will handle the heat in that location. We'll see.
