Hi
I have a '76 BJ40 that I am restoring. My heater is missing a lever, and I will make a new one, but how does it look?

This one is missing: (difficult to make one from this drawing)

Searching the internet I find some pics, like the one below, but that one seems to hav another lever-mechanism. Do anybody have a pic of my version of the heater?

The picture of your heater has the vent blowing towards the firewall. If you flip the top around, is there a hole for the flapper?

Yes, sorry I was a bit quick when I mocked it up. But the problem is not really the shaft (which is broken on the other side). The problem is the missing level. (And the broken shaft). I guess it works like when one side is opened, the other is closed. But difficult to make without a picture showing the lever.

Or you could ask me, and I will give you one if you pay shipping

Thanks for the offer, but checked Postage. Postage is 34$ (USPS) unless I wait 7 weeks. Then it is 15$. I think I will try to make one first. If it dont work I would like to come back to you.
