Getting closer on the swap to getting 4plus bumper from @Rustic76 and would like to get a winch for it also. Anybody have any input on
Warn VR8 GEN II 8000lb Winch - 96800.

I’ve got the older vr1000s. It works and it was the most budget friendly one I could get from warn.

I got mine for $100 less than the new model, I didn’t really like the look of the new one on an old truck.

The new ones definitely are more modern looking.

Same as Alex I have the vr10 on my 100 and for the money it can’t be beat I don’t believe, but the VR series are Warns China pricepoint series but built to Warn specs and quality control, I was skeptical but it’s been fine the few times I’ve used it, line speed is pretty average and it’s a little loud but that’s comparing it to my 8274-50 on the 60 so it’s like a apples and lemons comparison
