I recorded another episode of Cruiser Chat last night. Had some really good questions. I changed podcast hosting companies to try a new format so it doesn't pop up if you were subscribed to the old version. I streamed this one on Youtube and...
Hey Kurt.
Any idea to when the Entry instructions will be emailed? Haven't received them yet. PM me a contact persons email address and I'll reach out to them directly. Thanks in advance. Look forward to seeing you there next Saturday.
When you do this repair you might want to think about ordering some factory Toyota Allen head drain plugs from Kurt at CRUISERTEQ.COM that sit a little lower in that ring then the old style hex plugs do, plus they come with a Magnet. At only...
Welp I got over my bias for naturally aspirated humongous under stressed engines by buying my first turbo/hybrid engine lando. Only time will tell but I am happy giddy inside like a kid again and I guess thats what matters
I think the times have...

Yup, any competent mechanic should be able to swap them. It’s commonly a driveway D.I.Y. job too. Consult your mechanic, labor rates to R&R the arm and bushings could exceed the value of replacement. We stock a variety of complete lower control...
That simply isn't true... Toyota absolutely offers loose bushings designed for use in their rear lower control arms (and uppers, track, front UCA/LCA, etc). Off the top of my head the rears are 48702-60110 available at any Toyota dealership...
Give a quick call to Cruiser Outfitters—AFAIK, OEM 100-series bushings for the rear CAs are now available.
To @katit, I think the 80-series bolts are bigger, so no drilling required. I think most sleeve the 100-series bolt to make the 80 parts...
Well I’m back in possession of my 4 runner. Good friend just gave me 4 brand new Toyo Open country AT3’s 265/70/18’s. 4 runner still stock but now i think i may do little lift.
Mostly highway driving but we Iive down 4 miles country roads also...

I recorded the first episode of a new Cruiser Chat podcast last night. I found an app that would let me do it "call in style" like radio shows of old. For the first episode I think it came out surprisingly well. I was lucky enough to have two...
I stopped by and saw Paul at World Tour...he's willing to do it, but about 3-4 weeks out, maybe a squeeze in since it's a bench job that I'd have out for him already. He's disappointed in the Yukon gears now and said Nitro was in the same boat...
Not at this point...I'm going to guess that pricing would be similar, but questionable if they would have the 80 front core on hand. I know they do great work too, but the thought of having a LC specialist build one is swaying me a bit in that...
Domestic duties kept me out of the shop for most of the day. I did get a bit of time this morning to wire wheel a few parts that I didn't want sandblasted and powder coated - too many flange facings and/or rubber seals. I had my powder guy hit...
Installed 2 degree front caster shims for my OME 2.5” CS001F suspension with 33” tires. The steering was pretty good without the angle change but what a solid and noticeable improvement with the shim. This calibration had a nice return on my...
