We are just over a week from leaving for Bonneville. I will be honest converting the 45 from Desert to Salt has been a challenge. Today I should have the complete drive train finished. We still need to add secondary throttle spring and install...
Aloha and Thank you so much Kurt I appreciate you very much called and placed an order . You're my new favorite place to get parts from !!
Mahalo!
David
I highly recommend using online sources for part numbers.
No one here is going to give you the answers to every single part number request you post up/want every other day.
Educate yourself and learn how to look up part numbers using online...
All I can say is that I wish you assholes would stop paying double and triple what stuff sells for. Yall walk in and complain your parts bill is too low? 😀 We ARE the market.
Thanks Kurt. Will order those today.
Yes they appear to be but I messed the core of one up and for $42 each I think I will just go new this time. Sometimes it's just nice to have one less thing to mess with.
FWIW, I ordered a pair of rear wheel cylinders from cruiserteq on Monday afternoon and received them Wednesday afternoon in OH. Price was fair for Japanese made products and shipping was fast. Pretty much a no brainer.
Sorry I was replying from my phone out in the shop so always a crap shoot.
Yes you'll be the metric equivalent 4.75mm or what ever it is but yeah 3/16" will work just fine.
Anything is repairable given enough time and money but as @RUSH55 pointed...
Come on now... they haven't been a "$75 master cylinder" for decades. I bought a couple from Rock Auto when they started to get hard to get 5 years ago, they were $166.79. Next complain about gas not costing a nickle :D
I can't speak to personal...
Sell it and improve the quality of life for someone excited to get it fixed up right :D
If you think I'm retiring on the handful of NOS AISIN master cylinders we have in stock, I'd love to sell you a business with the inventory so you can retire...
Front disc conversion from a later model 40 or 60, and keep the rears stock drum. I’ll use either an Aisin FJ60 or and early 80 series master.
That will last a long time and you’ll be a lot happier with the way she stops.
IMO, it actually isn't hard to justify for many. $375 for an discontinued OEM (Aisin/Advics is OEM) part that will last another 30-40 years (or far more by tossing in a Japanese rebuild kit), is pretty modest imo. Note, we (Cruiser Oufitters)...
I want to bump this and encourage those of you that haven't signed up for the show and shine to do so.
Would be rad to have some built 250s, Gx550s and LX600/700h participate.

I want to Thank @cruiseroutfit for posting this camping map. I have a lot of messages asking what we need or what to bring. Honestly this is all new to all of us. This has been a big undertaking. So much on the 45 has been rebuilt, re designed...
