I know you said no lift, but a 1.5" cheap shackle lift with 2* front shims (and you want new shocks anyways.....50 year old shocks are worn out) and some 31x10.5 on stock steelies would be about perfect!

FSM doesn't mention thread sealant for the differential studs but they come with it preinstalled. Forgive my ignorance but which bolt(s) exactly are you asking about?
