….and many of you won’t appreciate this post, but that’s fine. Today’s posts are brought to you by Covid 19. We were scheduled to be at Auburn’s home opener but the :princess: tested positive a week ago and of course I have it now. Years of...
…and in the nobody cares but FWIW category, I threw away all my 10 yo+ Mobil 1 and Amsoil moly fortified today. I was still happy with the Amsoil product but it’s hard to tell the shelf life on grease. I’m a huge Mobil 1 oil fan but their...
When I was flying frequently I would pride myself on landing on the centerline no matter what the conditions. Now it seems I can’t park between two dang lines some days, of course mostly when wife in car.
Took my driver’s test in a 1976 F150 long wheelbase. Had to parallel park that puppy between two cars. No problem.
Probably couldn’t do it as well today. 😂
Love this, wife and I spent couple hours in town this morning after driving our 79 F150. Most of our time talking to folks about the truck.
Surprisingly had a few young ladies not even old enough to drive holler “I like your truck”.
Put the internals back into the disc brake calipers in between football games. Maybe not quite as pretty as the ones that @J Mack pulled out of a box but I guess they will have to do. These things were a bi*tch to clean up btw.
Between my 45 Troopy and 75 Pickup I have 11 of those tire, rim, tube combinations. Having said that, I have never purchased a spare tube. I had new 7.50r16 tires mounted on two new rims in Saudi but the tire shop supplied the liners and tubes...
Raptor makes a 1K liner in an aerosol can which leaves a very light texture, and can be picked up from local parts stores.
Of course this post wouldn’t be complete without me showing an example.
IIRC used one thick coat on my battery tray...
You can control the amount of texture on the U-POL product I linked or mask the bottom and just coat the surface under the battery.
Again my first choice would be a polyurea coating but I'm not familiar with any DIY kits. I did try to coat the...
Then, it got dark and I thought I'd see what the reverse lights looked like with the front rocklights on. You'll recall that I recently wired the reverse lights to a dash switch after not having reverse lights at all for about 20 years. Think I...
Took the Pig for a drive up to Robbs Resort for the annual Cantina for the 'Con. Avoided the freeway and took the back way in thru Georgetown. Pleasant place to spend a 4x4 weekend for a good cause with good people.
55 miles with 3000 foot...
Went to ranch for a couple weeks to help the folks with water system, they are hauling water daily again this fall…getting stale.
Hard digging it all to 7feet deep for the tired 200ex, we ended up putting in new injectors before we melted...
I think you're right. I noticed later that Plasti Dip advertises itself as being peelable; so not a good candidate. Wouldn't want a textured finish though but I think that's the right track.
I don't believe that would be durable enough for what you are doing, I'm guessing some sort of polyurea coating is what you want.
Probably find one of those home bed liner kits would work best for the DIY battery box coating.
I've used U-POL...
This is primarily to answer an aside from the front suspension topic it was pulled from, so as not to contaminate the OP's post topic.
So, @2001LC and I were chewing the fat about degreasers, (kudos to Paul, who happens to be the only other...
