Hey guys, in trying to plan out what my dash will end up looking like, and I've found myself wondering just what switches are available. I've found a bunch of pics in various threads, but am going to try and put all the switch info, and photos into one thread. Hopefully make it FAQ worthy.

So please reply back with any OEM style switch pics and as much info about the switch as possible (general cost, P/N etc) . Not necessarily only LC switches, but any toyota switch that will fit nicely in the dash.

(I've copied and pasted several blurbs from posts describing the switch pics)

Foglight switch

Foglight switch ( I think )

P/N 84160-28070

Japanese Aux/Fog light switch

P/N 84160-28010

Toyota had this type (see attached pics) of fog switch on both LC80 (for JDM 80 with built-in and aux. fog lights, and Surf/4Runner).

I "think" it allows you to have two sets of lights come on with the marker/headlights.
But you can use only one set of fog/aux. lights at a time and not both on simultaneously(sp.)

4 Runner Accessory switch

That is the accessory 4Runner switch, 00550-35976. It is OEM in the sence that it is marketed by Toyota in the US but it is not a Japanese OEM switch. It is supplied by a US vendor (I do not know who). I do stock them.

Cool switch. I've never seen the JDM foggy with the headlights before. Thanks for that!

BTW: I think the 4Runner one is upside down.

My 81 has a factory JDM fog light switch that looks identical to the rear defog or CDL switch. It is to the right of the wheel (RHD) beside the headlight washer switch. Will post pic. tomorrow.

That one's gone the way of the world.

I agree, this would be an excellent FAQ thread, There are a lot of snippits but no real definitive souce. Maybe we should ask cdan and mot to chime in with pics and numbers as much as they know. For instance, I am looking for a momentary OEM switch (rocker..does not stay on unless you are holding it..like a window), but have not really had luck. I think it would be cool to know what all the possibilities are.

A good momentary double pole is the antenna U/D switch in an FJ80. I used a second one in my truck for remote winch in/out.

I have a Tojo EPC and can get some info to help this thread, at least it will be relevent to my 1991 FJ80. Superceded part numbers will have to be found.

Here's a quick first draft. Feel free to pick it apart as you see fit.

Line item #5 84725A is the F/R diff lock switch that US spec FJ80s never had. I can't get the part number using my VIN, but I have one in my dash that I got from John Hocker years ago. That's running my ARBs.

I'll add this one as it took Dan a while to look it up for me when I did not have a part number or even a model/year for him to reference. Thanks Dan!

It is the inverter switch from a Matrix. It costs around $70 and has p/n 84480-41020
