This truck just knocked it out of the park in Moab

Made every obstacle on Pritchett Canyon without winching.
Was the first time I was ever envious of a mini truck.
My friend Ben built and drove it fearlessly.

I like having them be a consumable! And I’m building a regular cab pickup to do the really really rough stuff anyway
I’ve been of the understanding that Jeeps are for the really really rough stuff.;)

I’d take a LJ! I just can’t afford and LJ😂
I ended up being trail leader for the official Cruise Moab Pritchett Canyon run as they were going to cancel the run because they didn't have a trail leader.
When we got to the head of the trail there were two LJ waiting there, as we were airing down one of the drivers approach me and asked me if they could follow us.
I said sure but my first priority was to get the CM group through and we would not be able to wait on then. He said no problem they just wanted to see what Lines we took 😆 One of the drivers was 72 & the other was 74
There was 5 of us and 2 of them so they were able to catch up to us at every obstacle and never need assistance from us !
If you look close you even see the hood of the White one in the background of our group picture behind the green 4Runnerat the end of the trail😂

So what you are saying is that we have a few good years of wheeling left?

What was the consensus on Pritchett in its current state? What size tires were these Toyotas running?

Thinking of going to scout it on bikes in a few weeks to see if it’s something my 80 is capable of.

37s was the smallest tire.
I was in the lone 80 on 39s and it’s built for just such shenanigans.
Seems the trail is harder every year.
I would say no smaller than 37s lockers F/R low range gears, fully armored, winch and a willingness to beat on your rig and expect damage.
Would I run it again absolutely !

I’m finishing up my moab trip! I finally ran Pritchett without winching! I’d say, lockers and 37s are definitely helped me out a lot. The biggest thing between this time and last time was having a good spotter. We figured out the lines and I got through it pretty drama free

Pictures ?

1994 it appears. It’s been rolled???

94 was apparently when the DOT mandated the third brake light and I guess Toyota wasn’t ready for it in the pick ups so it was mounted externally. 93 land cruisers had it in the hatch. I smashed my 93 hatch and found a white 92 hatch for free which had no third brake light. I ran that hatch knowing I was way out of bounds and living on the edge…… felt kinda good! Haha
