Put around 400 miles on my lift and 80 with the bumper on. Now have to decide to I keep my ome 885s or bump up to 887s (which I have in the garage). The only extra weight coming will be an asfir skid which weigh 5ish more lbs than stock. I already have a winch with synthetic installed, just waiting on a line shackle mount.
So I’m at work and guess I deleted the pic of what I did but I used this guys pic as guidance. He build two little brackets, I should’ve but ended up bolting it with the factory clamps from my winch (OpenRoad 9500)Got the Lil B’s bumper + apex badlands winch + Amazon special lights installed. Ignore the missing light on the passenger side. Need to attach a plug to it tonight.

Install went fine for never having done this before. Lil B’s provides decent pictures for the install.
One issue: hood can’t shut with the apex badlands winch. Already removed the control box for relocation (no clue where I’m gonna mount it yet). The plastic box to cover the extended wires sits too high.
Any thoughts on how to remedy?View attachment 3277266
can you post the amazon link of the ones you ordered?

Sorry to be ignorant but, what are "887s and 885s"?
Yeah everything about that winch is huge but they have great reviews. I wanted one but Lil Bs recommended swapping to their heavier duty mounts for a winch over 10k.That looks great!
For whatever reason, the control box on the apex badlands winch is massive. I’m probably gonna end up buying a small, waterproof box and moving the electrical components to it. I would like to put the controls in that spot, though.

Lights came out great!OME front coil part number, 2885, 2887.
I spent some time over the weekend to wet sand and clear coat my headlights. I used 2k clear and the finish is very good but I have pretty significant amount of crazing in the lenses. This bought me some time before I have to replace them.

Also replaced the bulbs with Phillips H9 and 9011 bulbs.
Since we are sharing winch solenoids here’s mine I finished a few weeks ago. It’s an Albright solenoid and I also remote mounted the control plug. I wanted to keep the constant hot wire as short as possible so I mounted it on the drivers side.
