11.2 Introduction

This is based on one of the requests. The 12V outlet provides power for GPS, radar detector, or dash cam. You can either install a 12V socket or a USB charger.

Oh no. This opening seems very small.

Not totally impossible, but it would take some work. I jammed mine in the opening and used some sheet metal and velcro to hold the Scanguage in place.

question on scan gauge installation: for the upper door panel is it just simply the two grab handle screws and start pulling from the top to release the clips?
 
Is the cable flexible? You see the printed back cover? Is there enough space for the cable?

Yes, it's flexible. It's one of those flat cat 5 cables
 
This stuff is cool. I have the Yaesu FT-8900R, it would be nice if it supported several types of units.
Adding in some red map light would finish that off nicely.
I am looking at this one. It is a red LED with a switch. But it is expensive.
