@Chompers Went up to the saddle on 6, so well past where we made it last year... Could of gone higher but being solo I didn't want to be more than a 3hr snowshoe hike back to the towpig.
@Poupon no chains, snow was wet but temps didn't seem that cold, so it wasn't icing up much.
@BigFishAllDay Yep! Blowing over the hood in the drifts but never working very hard. Ideal conditions
@alia176 glad you got out! Hot springs would have been nice after I fell of the slick trailer loading up!
@pappy oooo ya, may be super excellent conditions again!

This is on Hwy 112... snow wheeling the towpig to get to the snow wheeling. I love our New Mexico skies!!

this is the time of year I love being in NM. Looking forward to Saturday.

Looks like fun!

Like Ali, I was plowing the road with the tractor. It's a different "ota" - a Kubota, not a Toyota!

last minute run up to Gallina area. Snow is very dry, not very deep. Gets icy really quick. I hope this next storm will have more moisture & less wind.
Still a great day though short day in the hills

3:00 pm, about 8 miles in... this is as far NE as i got w/o chains. It gets slick in these ruts and the ground is pretty frozen.

Very nice! I'm always impressed with your guts to just GO on your own.

Prolly more stupid than gutsy! I’m very cognizant of the “it’s time to turn around now” voice in my head

Glad to see you got out again. I need to explore that area more thoroughly.

Lemeno when you wanna go, I do t need much of an excuse to head over there.

Well @Chompers n I spent a mostly excellent day back in the Gallina area. Not nearly as much snow up here from last storm compared with what Jemez got.
What is there is starting to get even more icy. Needs fresh powder!

Beautiful morning, warm temps and disaster narrowly avoided. Lots of 5000 RPM shenanigans in 30 year old junk.

First pic is same location as first pic in this thread

NM blue sky!!

@Chompers doing good work... Slick slick slick!

This little spot got the better of me. Two consecutive long winch pulls, 5 feet from road and I blew the 80amp fusible link. At like 2:30 pm I think. @Chompers cool head and good problem solving and we were back at the towrig as the sun set. Phew!!

Light field mod of an electrical system. Sure hope this works or it's gonna be a long night!

Turn up to hear the 3.0 that can, although a little flogged!

I actually care an extra 80A fuse.

I bet Grant and I will too now!
