Howdy y’all, I’m in need of some advice from the forum. I am going to look at an ‘06 LX470 tomorrow as a potential replacement for my 955 Cayenne. I have 3 young kids (4yo, and 2yo twins) and I need a bigger vehicle that fits 3 car seats, preferably in the second row (forward facing on drivers side, twins in center and passenger side rear facing for another year maybe). We have a Honda Odyssey for long trips but I also want to be able to pick up my kids from daycare without switching vehicles. First off, does this sound feasible in a 100? I like the LX as it fits my budget ($18k) and desire for reliability/quality, flexibility (we will want to go camping soon), and I’m comfortable with Lexus’ of this era, having owned a few and...
2005 Land Cruiser w/229k on it
Up for sale is my trusted 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser. It has 229k miles on it and has only 17k miles put on it in the last 4 years. I’ve been slowly restoring it to make it like new again. Here is a small sample of what’s been done. It has new leather interior(not seat covers), new shocks, new wheels with Wildpeak tires including the spare, new brake lines, new front hubs bearings, LED lights bulbs throughout, all fluids changed within the last 10k, new alternator, new heater Ts with new connecting hoses, new spark plugs and new front skid plate. Verywell maintained with a clean Carfax and non-smoker vehicle with cold AC. Everything works including rear window quarter windows and no water leaks. All audio speakers have been upgraded in...
Hello from Derby City, 100-Series folk! I've lurked quite a bit here, but I've just joined and this is my first post. I'm a veteran of a few guitar and bicycle/bikepacking forums so I hope I know how to behave, but please correct any faux pas. I work for a small firm and aside from a brief time away I've worked for my boss for nearly twenty years. He is currently the executor for the estate of a long time friend so he's charged with selling his assets including a very large and expensive home, a vintage car or two, a nearly new 911 and so forth. The items of lesser value are a PITA for him as much as anything and in that bucket falls a 2001 LX470 in Golden Pearl with 275k miles. KBB told him the value was between $6k and $8k. I...
Houston, Tx: 2001 Toyota LC
Hello all. Putting my 100 up for sale as I’m looking to move into a 60. This has been my daily driver since April of 22’ when I bought it at 212k miles. Car spent all of its life in Tennessee and Alabama/Georgia and has spent the last 55k here in Houston. Previous owners religiously had the car serviced at Toyota dealerships. I picked the car up completely stock. I went through it and baselined it when I got it home just to freshen everything up to date for my peace of mind. OEM parts were used for everything under my ownership except for upper control arms, coil springs and steering rack bushings. Last winter I completely tore down the inside of the car to the bare floor all the way up to the dashboard, cleaned and scrubbed everything...
PORTLAND, OR 1999 LAND CRUISER | WHITE-DIFF LOCK $17,000
For sale is my 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser 100 series. Finished in color white, this vehicle is in GREAT shape. It is the most desirable year 100 series... As it has the REAR DIFF lock. It is in 8.5/10 condition on the exterior, and 7.5/10 condition in the interior. The engine runs strong and has ZERO issues. Mechanically it is in GREAT/TOP shape. I just had an alignment done, radio antenna replaced, and valve cover oil leak fixed @ Land Cruiser NW in PDX. There is ZERO leaks now. No oil leaks or coolant leaks. The timing belt and water pump were done at 200k miles. This Cruiser has a CLEAN CARFAX with no wrecks or accidents. It is a beautiful example of a 100 series. And it's the best LC color... White! It is completely stock. No lifts...
2004 Land Cruiser Auburn, CA
004 Toyota Land Cruiser Milage: 172,209 Location: Auburn, CA Purchased from an older guy in San Francisco. This was his daily driver and spent its entire life in a parking garage (therefore scratched up bumper covers). This however kept it out of the weather and everything is in very good condition. Never been offroad that I can see. All service was done at SF dealership and have service book with all documentation. I looked for a long time to find a rig like this for a project and started accumulating all the best parts to make it happen. However life has gotten in the way and I have a sick father that I need to put first and help take care of. I think the pics tell the story. Everything in the truck works. Do not have the...
Another member mentioned the idea of getting a winter beater to keep my rust free cruiser in the garage during our Michigan winters. I found this one and was curious as to thoughts on if it might make sense or if this just looks like a money pit sitting and waiting for me. https://www.apexautosinc.com/details/used-1999-toyota-land-cruiser/110757517 Value and money are all very subjective but it sure would be nice to keep my 06 rust free cruiser (even though it does have almost 365k miles) and drive this 99 after a little elbow grease and wool wax on the undercarriage.

2000 LC Sport Utility 4D - Rust Assessment
Hi All, I’m in the market for a 100 series and found one locally. Assuming it’s lived in TN or a surrounding state but waiting to a confirmation. Trying to get a date/time to look at in person but did get some undercarriage pics ahead of time. Does the rust pictured look concerning enough to make this a no? Undercarriage doesn’t look terrible, but the pitting on the rear side of the passenger door looks pretty substantial. Does rust in this area lead to significant problems?

Need Advice - 2006 LX470
Hello! I am going against all advice I've read online and buying a 100 series as a daily driver as single male living in LA with no wrenching skills :) Was hoping folks could chime in on if this might be a fair deal. Seems the market is really tough right now. This would be my max budget and is modded exactly how I would want. OR my alternative option is a clean 2003 LX470 w/ 150k miles for $17,000. But it has a dent on the front left fender and I'm pretty attached to the VVTI years having owned a 2007 v8 4unner in the past. Price; $25,000 -2006 LX 470 w/ 170k miles -It's had 4 owners but has been serviced regularly (37 records) at Lexus in Southern CA up until 2023. -See maintenance / mods list below. I will reply in a separate post...
Denver, CO: 2002 LC Project
We originally purchased as a temporary vehicle with the intent of keeping it as a 3rd vehicle, this LC became my wife's daily while she explored alternative, bigger family haulers. However, the recent breakdown was the final push. She's exhausted from the general maintenance/upkeep required by a 20+ year-old vehicle. The truck is currently at the shop, awaiting a fair amount of front-end repairs that have pushed us to decide it's time to find a new owner, ideally one with more mechanical aptitude and time than we have to bring this truck back to life. We're not looking to hide anything with the vehicle's current condition and reflecting its current state and needed repairs in the price. This is a solid platform for someone willing to...
Northern VA 2007 Toyota Land Cruiser
2007 213K miles Factory NO AHC - Rare Southern truck No rust No accident / Clean carfax Tons of service records, 16 pages on carfax from Toyota dealership TB/WP done at 175K, Valve cover gaskets done around then, also both catalytic converters replaced around same mileage. These are the noticeable maintenance items, then bunch of oil changes, alignments, etc. No warning lights on at all. $18,000 I'm contemplating selling my 2007 TLC, it's a late build, built in May 2007 so one of the last ones before they shut down production. Truck runs excellent, very smooth and have no issues. Paint is in great shape, no dents or door dings, but there are a few scratches and front bumper has a scuff. I bought it a couple months ago with the...

DEAL PENDING Feb.11/25 ****************************** I'm looking for a stock, rust-free 2000-2007 LX470 with up-to-date maintenance on timing belt and the usual stuff. Must have working AHC, so could technically be an 06-07 LC with that option. Any color **except** black is OK, but prefer white or gold/sandstone. I will be travelling from out-of-state in the SoCal area (LA, San Diego, Palm Springs) Feb 20-25, and in Phoenix, Arizona Feb 26-28 or so, and I'd like to arrange to purchase a vehicle at that time to drive back home. This will be a vehicle for me to drive until they pry it from my cold, dead hands - I'm replacing the '01 LX I sold a few years ago and have regretted doing so ever since! I have funds fully available, and...
