I've been searching for an '03-05 (maybe an '06) dd for a while now, but came across this LX in Spokane . Its listed at $17, 900 but I'm sure it could be had for less...
So my questions are...
1. Should I hold out for an '03+ with low miles (my budget is $30k)
2. I have never driven an early 100 series... would I be dissapointed in performance/interior goodies compared to an 05/07?

I am the second owner with all maintenance records for this vehicle. It was purchased locally and lives in Denver currently. It has 208,xxx miles on the odometer and continues to be used as my wife's daily driver. I have owned it for a little less than one year and had planned to keep and modify, but a neighbor put a truck up for sale that my wife had to have. Tried selling this a few months without any real bites. Did a bunch of work on it and am going to give it a go again.
This is my secondary vehicle and I'm only selling it because I want a plow truck (and the wife won't let me have 3 cars...). Comes with functional Locking center AND rear diffs! I bought this car from a family friend whose teen had been in a fender bender with it. I replaced the headlight and fender but didn't see the need to replace the hood for a dent (see pics). Previous owner had kids so there are some stains around the interior but I've cleaned it up pretty well. I have the running boards if they are wanted.

This popped up in a U-sell lot on my way home last night, and I had to stop. The owner had forgotten to lock it, so I dug around pretty good, and I'm impressed. I called the owner, he kept Mobil1 in the crankcase, sounds like it was well maintained. He said he got on 'mud long ago to put new speakers in, but can't remember his login. Sounds like it has been an extra vehicle and not a daily driver. Looks like it was garaged, my '03 with less miles doesn't look as good, and my wife washes it in our garage regularly.
I'm guessing the timing belt has not been done, although "timing chain" is mentioned in a note in the glovebox...

I thought that my 40 hooked my on Land Cruisers, nope, this one has. But since I can't just enjoy what I have, I bought a 200 to start playing with, thus the reason for the sale of my 100. I purchased this truck last year after months of searching for near perfect maintenance history on a 06'-07'. The PO was beyond anal about getting this truck in for scheduled maintenance. The current mileage is 113,3xx, I do usually drive it daily, so that mileage will go up slightly. 1999 $7,000 100 Series!
2nd owner of this 100 series. It has been a super reliable grocery getter, soccer mom, family trip rig. No real 'mods' done. 236K on the odometer. Timing belt replaced again at 190K. Original owner was also in Boise and has had most service done at Dealership as well.
Recently Detailed and is currently not being driven as my wife has a new sequoia 16 months ago and this has only been driven occasionaly since then (My wife wasn't ready to let it go)
Stock head unit replaced with Alpine unit. Brakes have been done in the last year. Battery new 2 years ago. CV boots replaced ~200K.
