New member, very first post, don't beat me up too bad! I spend a lot of time on other auto forums and find that this is the best place to find answers and a wealth of resources so I am glad to of found this 100-Series forum.
I am looking for a 2000-2003 LC for the wife. I have always loved the look of this vehicle and I feel for our needs this would be a solid choice. Not interested in off road, mods, just a stock 100 that will last us for some good years.
I have found that these trucks are kinda hard to come by, especially if you want one that fits a criteria. You may be asking why 00-03, well that seems to be my price range, plus from what I have read, it's best to start at the 00 model year.

I am in the feeler stage/looking for a an LX 470, preferably post 2006 and under 100K miles. Not sure I want to get rid of my Locked and lifted 80 with 195K miles, but would consider a trade for the right vehicle. I would prefer a black LX with oak interior, but I am not limited to that.
Time for a more comfortable and professional ride.

2004 Land Cruiser in Nashville -SOLD
2004 Land Cruiser with 138k miles.
Grey with grey leather. Has third row seats and rubber Land Cruiser floor mats, not pictured. Everything works great with no issues with exception of overhead DVD player - it doesn't like to let go of DVDs. Leather is nice and soft. Carpet could use shampooing in some areas. Starts, runs, drives, stops fantastic.
I bought this from the original Texas owner 4 months ago, and immediately took it to Cool Springs Toyota for scheduled maintenance including timing belt, water pump, drive belt, transmission flush ($1200, receipt). They damaged the radiator during the service so it has a new Toyota radiator as well. And I had them check brakes...

When I was out looking for my LC, I noticed a LX for sale by owner down the street from me.

I stopped by to look at it one day and the guy is selling it for his son. It's been sitting there for 5 months or so that I can remember. It looks in really good shape, but I don't have that much info on it. He did have it checked out by the local dealer because someone requested, so I'm sure it would be easy to get more info.
I was really looking for a LC so I passed. I'm not sure if their ready to wheel and deal on the price, but I wanted to pass it along.

I am moving on Thursday and the factory roofrack i just bought came to me broken. i am in dire straits and need the drivers side rail or to be exact the plastic piece that bolts to the fron of the roof. UPS delivered it sheared off and i can find the part anywhere.

I'm a car dealer in Louisiana and purchased my first Land Cruiser about 5 months ago, It's a 2000 with 145K miles. I love this vehicle and hope to ad some upgrades soon. I was previewing inventory up for auction at the CarMax in Baton Rouge and saw a 2000 LX470 with 101,500 miles in a light gold/sand exterior and the light tan interior. Overall in good to very good condition for the age of the vehicle.
This LX470 should sell at auction for between $9,000 and $10,000 I paid $8200 for mine at a different auction but it has some cosmetic issues. Carmax does an inspection when the vehicle is traded in and all conditions are announced so this vehicle passed inspection without any problems.

I checked out this 100 today for a friend and he's passing on it due to rust underneath. The dealer was very forthcoming about the rust so it's no knock on him, but it could be no problem for someone else.

The other possible deal-breaker may be the lack of a functioning rear locker and no indication that the CDL was working either. There were no dash indicators that either were working properly and the rear locker definitely did not engage.
The dealer said he would take it to his mechanic to evaluate and get back to me. At that time, I'll update this post.

I am thinking about going to check out this 04 LX with 120k miles. It is a New England car so rust is a concern. In a perfect world I would find a local truck that someone did their best to hold back the rust. That said, I am willing to accept some rust. But I don't want to buy a truck that might give me additional maintenance cost due to rust. I have zero knowledge of what to be looking for. So here are the pictures the dealer sent me of the trucks undercarriage.
