About to pull the trigger on a 98
I went to look at a 98 Hundo this morning - it had nearly 300k miles but started right up and purred like a kitten. Temps barely got over 180f on the highway. It didn’t steer like a barge like other 100s I’ve driven - lots of recent maintenance with OEM parts (see description attached below). The only issues I noticed was a very sticky transfer case - you really had to arm wrestle it to get into 4lo, and some very light surface rust on the underbelly (I couldn’t tell how much of this was dirt, however). The rear locker did evtuslly work, but I had to drive it on a dirt road for a few hundred meters to get it to stop blinking. No ticking from the manifolds, and no visible leaks underneath from the rack, VCGs, etc. They’re asking 7500...
ME: 2005 Land Cruiser 236k miles
2005 Toyota Land Cruiser with 236k miles. I purchased this in 2018 when it was a one owner central Florida truck with zero rust, 131k miles, and a good maintenance history. I’ve loved this LC but no room for two and I recently picked up a 2013 LX. My spare time is limited so I’m listing here first with a couple known issues. ***Pioneer platform is not included. I will put the Rhino Rack Vortex bars on for the sale*** First, the bad: I’ve had it fluid filmed and wool waxed 3 times over the last 6 years of being in Maine. It’s rust free by Maine standards but not by Texas standards. The speedometer needle is acting up. I have a Scanguage 2 mounted that I’ve been using. I plan on sending the unit in for full repair once time frees up but...
Hey y'all, I'm looking into getting my first Land Cruiser. I have set my sights on picking up a 100 series specifically in Atlantis Blue Mica. In my opinion it's the best color but unfortunately that color is hard to come by. Condition and maintenance history matters more than mileage. I would like to keep it under $15,000 if possible but if the truck is worth it I can afford some wiggle room. I'm based in Illinois but I don't mind traveling a bit to find the right LC especially if it's clean. I've scoured Autotempest, Craigslist, FB Marketplace and haven't quite found what I'm looking for so figured I would reach out here to see if there's anything out there. If anybody has any leads or suggestions that would be much appreciated...
I am looking for my first LC 100 series and have come across one with impeccable service records at 394,000 miles. I have read just about every thread I can regarding high mileage 100 series on ih8mud. Sounds like it has been "baselined" and oil changed every 3,000 miles. Timing belt and water pump seem to have been serviced at the correct intervals. No rust, asking $10k and doesn't really want to budge on that number. Sounds high but just wanted to see anyones thoughts. I have read countless times that condition trumps mileage but that seems to be more in line with the vehicles people mention at the 200k-300k mark. I am viewing it this week and it is quite the drive. Just haven't found a lot of sales at that high mileage to support the...

Hey mudders! Long time lurker, first time poster. I am currently still in the hunt for my first LC so no pictures today. I grew up in the Midwest, working on cars with my step-dad who had his own shop but have lost a lot of the touch due to nearly two-decades of military service. I currently enjoying camping with my young family and want to make it more regular with a vehicle capable of getting me out of established campgrounds. I have been spurred into action because my son recently claimed to enjoy working on cars with me and we do not have much else in common with his lack of interest in sports. What better way to accomplish my family goals other than buying an old 4WD?! After almost a year of back and forth I have decided to...

2007 LX470 North Carolina
Hi all, looking at this 07 LX spoken with the dealership and received additional photos of the under side along with a shipping quote out to CO…Looks like they do a decent amount of Toyota. Wondering if anyone has had experience with Sebar inc. in the past/ if there’s anyone local on here in NC that would be willing to get eyes on in person. Thanks!
Hi Folks I am looking at 1999 Land Cruiser with 300k miles on the frame and 110k on the motor & transmission. The frame looks rust free on the photos and it appears to be up to date on maintenance (new timing belt, alternator coil packs etc). However, it throws a code for the throttle position sensor and currently idles at about 3000 RPM (probably because of the sensor). I require emissions testing over here in Colorado, but the owner has not been required to test, so have no idea whether it is going to pass. I realize, this isn't much to go on (I haven't seen it in person yet), but would you folks have advice for me? 1) What range should my offer be, assuming the vehicle is generally in a good condition? 2) Is there anything specific...

Idaho: 1998 Land Cruiser
1998 Land Cruiser with 154,259 miles. We’ve owned it for about 4 1/2 years and 21k miles. We’re selling it because we have too many cars, and just don’t use it much. It’s mainly been our road trip vehicle, and the rest of the time it sits in the barn. Work done: timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, antifreeze, cv axles, spark plugs, battery, alternator, heater T’s, ball joints, tie rods, rotors, pads, wheel bearings, tires, serpentine tensioner and idler pulley. It’s mostly stock, but has the following mods: 1” rear spacers, air bags, front torsion bars adjusted, and 1” BORA wheel spacers. The good: rust-free, solid, reliable, low mileage truck. The bad: cracked windshield that doesn’t obstruct vision, sunroof doesn’t open. The...
