I hope that all is well with you and yours! I have long desired a LC and the conditions for getting one have finally arrived. My wife and I compromised on the fzj80 model LC.
So, we are looking for a 1995-1997 with lockers and the third row seats under 200K miles in the 6-8k range. Depending on the rig, that could rise to 10k. The LC would be used about 70% around town and highway and about 30% off-roading. To clarify, the off-roading would not be rock crawling or mud boggin, but more the area of trails and elements involved with backpacking and hiking (as that is what we enjoy doing most).
I have been keeping a weather eye on the listings here, on Ebay, and Craigslist. If there is another good source for...
First of all I want to say this is ONLY A FEELER. Due to the growing needs of having a more family compliant vehicle, I am considering trading my LX for a 100 Series.

Rust- Only rust is on the factory hitch receiver. Houston truck from 97 until 2008 when purchased. In Colorado for 4 years, now back in the South.

Here is one I came across today . Could someone please comment on some of the small issues mentioned: the differential whine, misaligned steering ($600 to fix, really?!), oil usage seems high. Not sure how many miles.

I have a 91 fj80 about from a salvage yard with a salvage title. Body is in real good shape interior is really clean I pulled the engine to replace but have just not had the time or motivation to finish it. I Allready have a replacement engine for it. All fees have been paid on it it just needs to be put together and get a smog & brake light test.
Cruiser is charcoal grey with grey cloth interior has some scuff and small dings but I would say the interior is an 8 and body and 7.5-8

Well its time for the toy to go. All stock 1994 FJ80. I use this to pull a wood cutting trailer but today was its last day, the transmission gave out on me. It will now go in reverse only, The 80 has power every thing no leater and no diff lock has 195,000 miles on it and the motor runs perfect. Would make someone a great project. Being its my extra vehicle and toy just can't justify (or my wife cant :)) putting the $700 or $800 in it for a used transmission. If your interested make me and offer, body is is great shape just a little rust starting at the bottom of the front doors. Dark blue in color if interested I can send photos.

SOLD I am selling my 94 80 with 230xxx miles(no lockers). The engine has had a tick for about 6 months that I havent been able to locate and I am building a locked 80, so Im selling this one. I am going to sell it as is for $2300 or for $1200 without the lift and tires. Heres what it has:
-nearly new OME heavy lift with OME L shocks (no caster correction)
-nearly new 33X12.5X15 mickey thomson MTZs on 15X8 alloys (using 1 1/4 wheel spacers to clear rotors)
-cloth interior in excellent shape
-paint is faded in spots but the only bad rust has been treated and is pictured.
-Factory stereo doesnt work and rear wiper arm is busted off
-Front knuckles need a rebuild
-the engine runs great other than the tick
-I am keeping the front...
Looking for a Land Cruiser - I've been pouring over the Craigslist pages using variety of tools to aggregate the cities all over the States. I'm pretty picky and so far no luck (couple near misses) - looking for an FZJ80 (or LX450) with the following attributes:
o Years: '93-'97
o Interior: cloth (leather for LX)
o Exterior colors: Pewter, Silver, Sage or light Gold/Beige, Blue, Grey ok (White, Black, Green or Red need not apply)

o Preferably less than 200K

Hi we are looking to do a budget expo shop build. Would love to use an 80. Obviously prefer one with factory lockers....:). Looking for one with a sound drivetrain. I have no problem doing repairs, but I am on short timeframe and would much rather spend time on mods.
Basically anything with a rough interior or body would be prefered to keep the cost down. I have a parts truck to help with that.
We are near Sacramento, CA and would like to keep around a 200 mile radius, unless you will drive it to us :D.
Looking to stay under 3k to leave room for mods.

Hi all my name is Caleb. I have spent the last couple years building and rebuilding my 96 FZJ80. Currently it looks very little like its original form. It has been bobbed 7 inches and the rear doors were welded up. The roof was cut off and the rear was made into a pickup bed with capped bedrails and steel plated inside bedside walls. All of the interior was stripped plated and bedlined black. The seats are nearly new Corbeau Baja in tan vinyl with the camlock harnesses. The entire cage is 1.75x .120 DOM that I bent with a JD2 bender and is MIG welded. I consider myself a very competent welder and fabricator and have done plenty of welding and fabricating on customer trucks and buggies while working at Dark Horse Customs in Bozeman, MT...
I rolled my 1996 Black FZJ80 it has almost 142000 miles and was in great condition before my accident. Everything works and is RUST-FREE , which says alot about a garage kept truck from Chicago. It has lockers, no-lift and was not wheeled at all. The only time it spent off road was to go down a gravel road . I don't have the money to get it fixed and can't part it out because of storage problems. The truck is currently located about an hour south of Chicago.

I live in Texas so anyone in TX or Louisiana would be great, but if there are any trucks in the New England/ New York area that would work too becasue I will be in Rhode Island in March and can drive it to Texas. I would like the F+R Locker option but I will definatly consider NON locked in good condition. If you have one for sale let me know or if you know someone that might be selling one. Up for sale is my LX450.
All service up to date including recent PHH replacement, front crank seal, oil pump seal, and oil pan gaskets (both pans). I modified the panhard bar brace to make it removable, should I need to access the bottom end of the engine again. Oil has been full-synthetic since I bought the truck. This is a no rust Texas vehicle. I have cared for this like a baby. I'm only selling it because I need to get a tow-rig for my trail truck. Interior is redone with new from the factory front carpet, headliner, and mastercraft RS reclining suspension seats.
