I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS FJ55 EXCEPT THAT IT NEEDS A NEW REAR DRIVELINE. IT TWISTED WHILLE DRIVING AND WAS PARKED AND HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE. ORIGINAL F ENGINE RAN GOOD WHEN IT WAS PARKED.

TUNE UP, PLUGS, OIL,FILTER AND TO BE CLEANED!!!

I really dont know much about it except it ran "good" when it was parked, lost rear driveline on street limped home in 4wd. Needs battery and the obvious. Great started rig or parts rig.

Still For Sale: 1972 FJ55 Placerville, Ca
Original condition, everything intact, not cut up or modified. Very clean in and out with newer paint. Previous owner put a 2F motor in with 75,000 miles on it, no leaks under hood or on the ground. 4-speed tranny on the floor. Runs great with no problems, drives straight with no wandering. Drum brakes rebuilt with new wheel cylinders and shoes by previous owner, new master cylinder. All lights work on exterior and interior, dash intact and guages work with exception of speedometer(bounces) and odometer. Both heaters work, glass intact and functional. Only rust I can see is to the passenger rear wheel-well area, approx 1x1 inch. I do not see any rust that has come through the body...
1971 FJ55- I've had my pig for about a year and a half,and have not had the funds to complete,and now it is time for someone else to fix up and play with.

About a year ago I picked up this '74 pig out near Death Valley. It is a one owner rig with original blue plates and runs (don't know how well). It has a baked dash/interior from sitting in the desert, but there are lots of good parts on her. I started breaking everything down, but that's as far as I got. All original except for a sag manual conversion (I even have the original keys on the original key ring). I discovered lots of rust in the rockers and front fenders and the rear of the roof, but the floors are VERY, VERY clean and cancer free (some minor surface rust only). The rear tailgate is good (rubbers are shot) and the window functions flawlessly. All glass is original and in...
Putting one of my off road rigs up for sale. I have had it about 7 years or so:
1973 FJ55 Toyota Land Cruiser
-V8 conversion, did have a 350 but it was overheating so I swapped in an ’86 305 with factory 4 barrel and H.E.I and it runs good
-Scout power steering conversion with hydraulic assist, had to do this, as apposed to the usual Saginaw due to the PTO winch, works great
-Set up for on board air with remote tank, but the compressor is shot, I have another to replace it with, just haven’t put it on there, and it will come with the vehicle. I may keep the tank though.
-Dual exhaust with 2 flow masters, sounds pretty mean.
-Axles are from a ’76 or ’77 FJ40 (can’t remember...
looking to sell my FJ55. have other things i need to focus on. it is rough around the edges but is a really good trial rig. needs some tlc but what rig doesnt. has full cage, 1f engine with webber carb that runs like a champ, SM420 with 7.06 to 1 first gear. 72 to 1 final crawl ratio. SOA on 37s, front axle has been updated with mini truck BIRFS and 30 spline axles with disk brakes. also have GM power steering that works great. welded rear axle, high lift jack included there will be a choose to take it with the 37s and beadlocks or i can but the 35BFGs for a lesser price. i know im forgeting somthing any questions just ask thanks looking for $4000 with the 37s and bead locks
1972 FJ55 originally from southern Kali.
1500 bucks for almost rust free rig, original paint and warn upright winch.
I cannot buy it and the owner has held onto it for several months for me, sorry to say I just cannot come up with the money.

here's the run down:
top cut off, bobbed rear 12" ( looks oem )
soa on 60 series cruiser axles
front axle is cnt, has bullet proof steering stops and custom gussets for the housing and knuckles riding on fj55 rear springs on custom mounts and shackles
rear axle is soa, welded diff, custom track-bar bracket, custom sway-bar that started as a currie anti-rock bar, riding on 63" chevies also ruffstuff HD diff cover
all new ruffstuff perches, u-bolts and u-bolt plates
37" MTRs on 15x8 rock crawl;er steelies with 2" back spacing
454 engine that's supposed to be good used but we did'nt...

1974 toyota land cruiser fj55. has rust in floors around front seats. 2 spots on roof have been repaired and bondo is peeling/craking up. body pretty straight. original motor, trans, axles. all glass there. rear glass is stuck down in rear tail gate. no keys. I bought it for the drivetrain for another fj of mine but dont have the time to mess with it now that we have a new baby and my place of work is closing on march 6th send me a pm and your e-mail and i can send pics. they are to large to load here asking $850.00
My current project is about wrapped up and I'm on the hunt for another. I'd really like to find a FJ40 or FJ55 that needs an engine. I'm thinking about a V-8 swap and maybe making it a "trail rig" sort of but nothing hard core. If you got one sitting around let me know what you have. Looking for a driver FJ55 as a short distance daily driver. I would like to take my FJ40 off the road to do some work to it and have an FJ55 to drive around in the meantime, then work on the 55 after the 40!

I have a stock 1976 Pig I just picked up in a trade and I already have enough Pigs!! The truck runs and drives good, has a 2f, 4 speed, front disc brakes. The doors are in good shape and open and shut solid. The interior is in very good shape, the floors are all solid, the door panels are good. The headliner is toast. The tailgate has some rust. The body has some usual rusty spots. The chrome trim around the roof is in great shape. All dash lights work. This truck was given to a friend of mine and the original title was lost, I am applying for a lost title now or you can take care of it easily.
I have too many trucks and not enough space. $999 for a running, driving FJ55! Or trade for a 40. Or a 60. I also have a few other parts to...
no association. thought someone might like this in their driveway. looks like a possible 1979, but if its a '69 that would be cool!!!

Trying to help my mom sell my dad's 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ55. He passed away recently, and now she wants it gone. It's definitely a project though. Missing driver's side fender and quarter, rust throughout. Interior is pretty rough. Engine is all original. Has a nice winch on it. Hasn't run in about 10 years. I don't want to scrap it if we can avoid it. Has clear Wisconsin title.Anybody need a project? $400 and it's yours.
Location: Eau Claire, WI roughly 90 miles east of Msp/St Paul. Vehicle is easy access for trailering.

Any interest in a 78/55 with A/C ? I'm not 100% sure I want to sell. Loctaed in S.E. Tennessee. Very low rust and complete, has not been molested. An ideal candidate for a restoration. Too nice to turn into a rock crwaler.

i have a 76 fj55 toyota landcruiser.rare. i have never seen another one. it a four door wagon. body in great shape. its primer grey. inter. not the best. has enegine and trany. will start and run but will not go anywere. its a three speed but needs transfer case. about 800 to get or can maybe find one at junkyard for cheeper. as a/c and works, has rear heater. great for hunting if fixed up. i do have the title in my hand right now and original key to go with it. i have had this for about 7 or 8 years.i have done alot of body work. a little rust from were its been sitting around. i have pics of the inter. but u will have to ask for them. i need the money and dont have time for it anymore asking...

all primer right now, original orange pig!
body is surprising solid. the PO before TJ did all the work so no idea what was done. Looks good though, the PO's definitely repaired a lot of rust, but some of their work is not perfect..
no engine...TJ had a 3FE in there but took it out to put it in his pig.
comes with 4 speed tranny and tcase, driveshafts, everything you need but the engine. drop in a 2f and you are ready to go!
Only thing missing from the pics is the backseat
ADDITIONS:
- disc brake front axle! This is from Uglibus.
- Brand new Alcan 4" springs. Bought...
For Sale. '70 and '72 FJ55 in Tucson, AZ. Must sell...got back from OIF and need the storage space and to finish the projects (FJ40 / FJ62) that I've already started. $1,000 each. Clear AZ titles. (trades for quality guns and ammo ALWAYS considered). Neither run (but have in the past), so you will have to tow or arrange shipping. Both are mostly complete. '70 (right) has Chevy 'core' but unknown cubic inch and unknown trans (floor shifter) and x-fer case. '72 (left) has stock Toyota F / three-speed on column / x-fer case. Good tires and wheels on both. PM me with questions.
