Mostly Original 1976 FJ40 - ~85k miles showing - Austin TX
Up for sale is my 1976 FJ40. Purchased out of San Diego area a few years ago from the daughter of I think the second owner with the hope of making it my patina build project but between a toddler with another one on the way and no good dedicated garage space I’ve decided its time for it to move on hopefully to someone who will enjoy and use it. This 40 is mostly original and in good solid nearly rust free condition (exception of the rear tub on either above the tail lights as is typical). Paint is all original and would make a great patina build. Hardtop looks like it was modified some by the previous owner but does keep the interior dry. Has all original glass, gauges, jump seats. Includes skid plate, towbar, and an extra set of...
SoCal -1978 FJ40 - Rare Color - 653
Okay, okay - it's just "rare" that anyone likes/chooses this color 40 :) But once you own one, it's a pretty great color - (Baby Poo Brown :poop:!) This is a very solid, 90% stock, well running FJ40 - nothing special or unique 1978 FJ40 - Original 2F, 4Speed - 117169 miles, 100% CA vehicle - Passes the dreaded CA SMOG I am the 3rd owner, I bought it from the 2nd owners family - Their father owned it for 28 years on his ranch before he passed. It was in a good bit of neglect - mismatched torn front seats - drooping headliner - fading paint - cracked dash - super old tires/wagon wheels - leaking steering box - sagging original suspension - weird tow bar on the front - mirrors cracked - all lights needing replacement - brakes out of...
1967 FJ40 Patina Project Norcal
Hey mudders, Got this project threeish years ago and made some headway but just dont have the time to get it where it should be. I sourced it from the high desert in Nevada. It's a 1967 FJ40, orignal F engine and 3 on tree. Miles unknown but ODO currently says 81k. Runs, drives, sorta stops. This is still a project that needs trailered. I've driven it around the neighborhood but thats it. Great candidate for restoration. Runs good. Sourced a NOS original carb from Spain and got that on there. New plugs wires filters etc. I put a cheap paper element air filter on, the orignal oil bath filter is in my posession if you would like it. Brakes have a small leak on a hard line and the whole system needs a refresh Clutch master leaks slightly...

Grand Junction, CO 1975 FJ40 $16,000
I haven't gotten much feedback regarding my asking price. I know I have quite a bit more into it than I am asking, but also know that doesn't mean it will sell for close to that. Realizing I really want this gone before I leave for a few months starting in October. Sharing my listing from FB Marketplace. Sad to do it…but not enjoying driving it like I’d hoped. We’ll still have our 100 Series and Tundra so not bailing on Toyota! Adding the text for those who don’t FB. Sorry about that. 1975 FJ40 For Sale- Asking $16,000.00 If you are interested reach out with real questions. I won't respond to the auto response "Is this available". If the ad is posted, it's available. I have owned this FJ40 for approximately 2 years. It’s been a fun...
Atlanta, Ga 1972 Toyota FJ40
Selling my 40 as it spends far too much time sitting unused. Its been an amazing truck and I'm reluctant to let it go. Its powered by a Chevy 350 backed by the legendary Muncie SM465. It hauls ass. I bought it in January of 2021, here is that listing. Since then I've added OEM wheels and center caps with 33 x 10.50 Maxxis Razrs along with a 4 plus spare tire swing out. I replaced most of the rubber fuel lines earlier this year. I bought Procar buckets and a Tuffy center console along with short later model rear fold down sears. Never installed any of that as the front bench is awesome, but all is included in sale. Hard top and full doors also included. See original listing linked above for photos. I'll add pics of top and doors in...
1975 FJ40, Freeborn Red: Please buy this I hate it
It's self-reflection time. I enjoy the idea of owning a 40 more than actually owning a 40. If you enjoy white-knuckling at 42mph, the feeling of sitting on shifting-cinder blocks, fuel-smell and tractor steering then maybe this lifestyle is for you, for me it is not. I have probably put a couple thousand miles on this thing since I bought it 5 years ago. Ok, here are the pros and cons Cons: -It's a 40 -There is some filler in the rear quarters -The weber carb needs a tune (this is probably the first thing I would just go ahead and replace) -The paint is not original and is decent but not great -Battery is currently dead Pros: -Genuinely a good runner. Was told engine was rebuilt, all inputs work well, transmission shifts well...
Cleveland, Ohio 1974 FJ40 with 2F
I am thinking that it might be time for me to go back to an 80 series so I am looking at selling my 40. $19500 or open to trades for 80 series. Basic info: Its a 1974 FJ40 that looks like it was dune beige originally but was later panted a green color. It comes with a beautiful black soft top and all the original bows and bars to install the soft top. There are two best top half vinyl doors and two full doors. The full doors need work but they are functional as is. I only use it as a three season vehicle so the full doors are only used every once in a while. I also have almost all the parts for a hard top including all the glass. The only big part that is missing is the roof. You can have those parts or not. As is, it is a fantastic...
Charleston, SC - 1976 FJ40 - Original Mustard Yellow
I've owned this 40 for the past 5+ years and have had all work done either locally by a Toyota/Landcruiser mechanic (McIntosh Imports) or by Trollhole's Cruisers. I am not mechanically-inclined but happy to answer any questions to the best of my abilities. $20k OBO. History: She was first sold in New Mexico (American Toyota - Albuquerque) and per some stickers she had some history in the PNW. I bought her with Oregon tags in Washington state (from a guy with Montana as a last name) - can't make that up. She was promised as "everything works" but nothing could have been further from the truth when she was delivered across the country. I broke every rule in the book buying her and have paid handsomely as a penance. But, happy that I was...

1971 FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser - Asking $16,500 - Negotiable. Looking to move! Make an offer! Up for sale is my beige 71 FJ40. It runs great on the original engine with upgraded 4 speed transmission. Aftermarket Weber carb and exhaust headers adds some quickness. A blast to drive. Could be a daily driver. I take the top off May through October, and sometimes the doors before then. Original F engine Upgraded to 4 speed transmission 37k on the odometer (I'm assuming this is 137k. doesn't seem like it would be more than that) BFG KM02 AT Tires 235/85r16 with about 3000 miles on them Front disc brake conversion (still have the original drums if you want them) Upgraded FJ80 brake booster and master cylinder to power the disk brakes OME 2"...
Maine: 1966 FJ40
1966 FJ40 with a 1969 motor, original 1966 motor included. Second owner. Everything is original to the best of our knowledge. The vehicle is located in Maine. This vehicle has always been used for ranch work and hunting trips in Wyoming. This is a workhorse. Every scratch and dent has been earned. The body has surface rust but it is in otherwise very good shape. You will see that it took some pretty good hits but those are not flaky, rusty spots - they are solid bent or torn metal and are still solid today. Some history. I bought the vehicle from the original owner in 2005. He was retiring from his truck repair business. At the time, his sons said the mileage was original and today it has 84967 miles on it. The motor was replaced...

Baltimore MD - 1969 & 1973 Toyota FJ40s
Hi all, I’m trying to sell my two FJ40s because I no longer have a garage to do the build. I bought them for the purpose of combining them into one. It is a 1969 with a title, nice fiberglass tub, perfect frame, and all the parts. The 1973 that was a farm truck without a title but it had a Toyota pickup/hilux drivetrain swap. It also comes with a running 3RZ (2.7 4 cylinder) that bolts right up to the Toyota pickup conversion and a full engine and body harness out of a 95 Tacoma. Asking $10,000 for everything, reasonable offers welcome. Lots of pics in google photos album: FJ40 - https://photos.app.goo.gl/AzTXFVzy2c3CFN4v7
