I wanted to thank everyone for reaching out. In a weird turn of events a truck I regrettably sold 10 years ago surfaced 15mi from my house and I went an purchased it.
Solid NA rig Aug '75 born on date. Engine 2F037531. Titled OR, AZ now CO showing 28,600 actual miles. Lots of patina with original Toyota floor mat, tool bag, jack and manual. No rot some surface rust. Like new Warm 8274 on HFS front bumper...
I found a 1975 license plate to register the truck with my initials on it to boot. I brought out the bumperettes and tag bracket.
This 120 degree summer was particularly hot so I used a school parking lot to work on the 40. It had shade...
Wish I had seen this post over the weekend. Changed out all cooling system hoses, thermostat, water pump and fan belt. Had a heck of a time getting enough coolant back into it. Tried so many things, and it definitely wanted to overheat (didn’t...

After de-smog I lost the mounting point for the thermosensor that activates the carb-cooling fan.
I realize I could have cut the bracket off the old smog equipment, but did not want to ruin that whole piece.
Found a factory bracket from a 78...
Question-
