I am at a cross roads as many people before me. Over the past few years I have accumulated parts and cruisers to build one from the ground up the way/condition I wanted one. But I severely underestimated the time needed to raise a newborn and maintain a house. I managed with kid one but now with the second on the way I have come to realize I won’t have the time to dedicate to this build as I have with others in the the past. With that being said I am curious if their is interest in what I have collected over the years in it current state. Not really interested in parting out, would like to sell as a lot or at least in “groups of FJs” as you’ll see below. Also parts from 1, 2 or 3 are not commingled. 1 - 1979 mustard yellow FJ40...
S. Florida - 1971 FJ40 - Very original - Amazing Condition - Barn Found - 2 owners
Beautiful 2 registered owner FJ40 produced for the USA with 3.9L I-6 motor. Originally purchased in Asheville, NC then shipped and spent most of its life on a Ranch in Wyoming. Repainted in what is believed to be its original Spring Green color, otherwise all original. Odometer shows approximately 28,000 miles and after talking to the sellers and inspecting condition I truly do believe that to be the true mileage. The truck is gorgeous in and out and so clean for its age and never being restored. Everything functions as it should from factory including the 4wd system. This FJ40 has retained its original heaters front and rear. This FJ is equipped with 3 speed manual on the column (3 on the tree) and a blast to drive. Includes (2)...

Hello! After eye balling my wife's FJ40 for a year now, I'm envious enough to where I'm ready to buy my own. I've gone back and forth on a project vs a finished truck, and have had to admit to myself that my current job doesn't give me enough time to take on another project, so I'm looking for something that is pretty much done. I'm hoping to find something that has the original engine and as close to stock as possible. I've scoured the usual suspects (Craigslist - I've seen a couple of maybes, and the likes of Hemmings and Classic Cars) but looking to cast the net a little wider. Does anyone on the forum have anything that fits the bill that they're looking to sell or are considering selling? I'm located in the Seattle area...

Austin Texas , 74 FJ40
1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 – build date 10/73. Original F.5 engine w/ 3 speed. I have owned for right at 20 years – rescued from a ranch in South Texas where it had sat in a covered barn at least 10+ years. Odometer broke shortly after I got it. Currently reads 80,444 and I bet I haven’t put more than 1,500 miles on it in the last 20 years. The good: Great body. Interior has a DIY bedliner in it, but there is no rust at all. No hard top, but do have the original doors, no glass in them, but all the hardware is available. Over my ownership, I have base-lined all fluids (several times). Regular oil changes. New clutch master & slave. Brakes redone with new master cylinder, vacuum booster and wheel cylinders all the way around...
1968 FJ40 Austin Texas "Viejo" is: Sold
1968 FJ40 for sale affectionally named "Viejo", asking $14000. True Mileage is unknown due to age. It could have 137k, 237k. Known history of truck - PO acquired it from Colorado (maybe grand junction area). It was registered in Oklahoma and I found it in Fort Worth. Not interested in trades - if you read this ad you'll notice I have plenty of fun stuff already. I bought this truck 2 years ago after realizing my 1967 FJ40 project was going to be off the road a long time and I wanted a truck to enjoy while I worked on the ’67. This truck is an amazing daily driver and a ton of fun for errands around town or exploring Texas’ dirt roads. Very dependable - I’ve driven several times between Austin and Houston and had a hoot of a...
