| Hey folks: Up for sale is a GAS TANK COVER for a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 (09/1973 - 12/1978). I removed it from a 1977 FJ40 and thoroughly removed all rust using multiple passes of a laser cleaner. I then treated it with POR-15 Metal Prep and applied two coats of POR-15 to seal it. I started to prepare the surface for an acrylic primer and top-coat. However, I decided to sell it as-is vs. completely refinishing it. Please see all the photos for the exact condition of the gas tank cover. The item pictured is the item you will receive. Note that one of the mounting tab holes is damaged. Based on the prep work and sealing with POR-15, there should be no issues with future rust unless the metal becomes exposed.
