I'm posting our FJ40 up for sale since we're relocating across the country. It has a SBC 350/ SM465 conversion from the previous owner. It was well done and runs very well. We take it out on the weekends and for date nights regularly. It's titled as a historical vehicle here in AZ with collectors insurance so there is no smog testing. There is no smog equipment installed, so be aware of that if you live in another state.
The high-points are:
350 SBC with the SM465 4-speed transmission. All stock, carbureted engine. Runs good, starts right up, strong oil pressure, idles smoothly and drives as it should.
New fuse block and wiring harness installed.

1965 FJ40 Dune Beige. SBC 350, 400 A/T, 3 speed Transfer case. 4" lift. Very little rust anywhere. I had it removed, treated and painted wherever I found rust. Paint on body is not perfect, it has some very small dings. It was painted many years ago by P/O. I had it cleaned up, treated with preventative and painted underneath 2 years ago. What you see in the pics is from a muddy road. All new brakes, rotors, drums and shoes plus Knuckle rebuild done by OTRAMM last year. New master cylinder and proportioning valve rebuilt. New headers and 3" exhaust. New stock rims and 31" K/O tires. New headliner and floor mats. New Bestop bikini top. Warn 8470 winch and new JT Outfitters front bumper. Up for sale is my 1971 FJ40. I've owned this 40 since 2014. Wish I could keep it and could turn it into what I've always wanted, but being active duty doesn't quite allow me to do that. I'll list every single thing I can remember good and bad about it. Apparently like pretty much everyone else I'm looking to get into a 40 series. Would prefer a more original than not barn find type of starting point. I know that's asking a lot, but I've got to have dreams, right? My budget is relatively low at under $7k (the lower the better).
