It started out a couple of years ago as a daily driver/ mini project. I just don't have the time/ money to complete what I started. The engine ran fine when I started taking the interior out. The frame/ interior was covered in POR15. HFS suspension, brand new Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ (33X15), New winch bumper. Please email quests, I'm sure I left a lot out. $5500...Might consider trades with cash. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/sat/cto/3709501088.html

Hi I'm new to mud but this seems like a good place to sell my 64 fj 40. Let me just get in to it. It has the hard top/doors, running original engine, and 3 on the tree. Normal rust (tailgate, behind seats, and surface rust) body is in good shape small dents and dings. Needs wiring and steering work. No jumper seats but it does have a roll bar(I've been told 64 didn't have either is this true?) I will try to post pics tonight. $2,600 firm I think it worth more but must sell. To tell the truth I don't want to sell it but after my dad passed away my mom wants it gone and I don't have any place for it. It needs a good home send me a message or email at tacoma1086@yahoo.com if you have any questions thanks.
Interested in buying my first FJ40! Would like to find one within driving distance (one day) of Virginia. Also, would prefer minimal rust, recent upgrades to engine, drive train, suspension, electrical etc as I am not the best mechanic in the world. Body work and painting I can take care of on this end. Full restoration is the plan...Any suggestions? Thanks, Alan
I'm looking for a project for my son and I to work on slowly (yeah, everything I do is slow). What I am looking for is a solid, fairly rust free body with most of the parts bolted to it. Hard top would be a plus. We will do a Engine swap, so motor/tranny/tcase is unimportant. I'm indifferent to the year, although, pre 67 would be good (smog free). I'm in Vegas, but can travel for a good enough deal.
Hi guys, Just missed out on one that was darn near perfect for what I want, so I'm asking for a bit of help - Looking for a 75 or later FJ40. Ideally, with disc brakes, power steering, and since I'm feeling lucky an AC. I like the FJ40 closer to stock than modified crawlers. Also want the hard top. I have a budget of about $10k, maybe a bit more for the right one. I am not opposed to motor swaps, but no hack jobs. Doesn't have to be too pretty as I can do paint and body work within reason, but I'd like things mechanically sound. No rust buckets. I am in the DFW metroplex (north Texas) but will travel as long as it is within a few hours. Lemme know what's out there fellas. Thanks, John

I'm by no means an expert on FJ40 values so wanted to get more of an experts opinion about this rig I'm looking at purchasing: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/3717150218.html It's the year, color I'm looking for and completly original which is what I'm looking for as well but the price seems crazy high to me. Thoughts on this one? Thanks
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1978-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-FJ40-/171017961111?forcev4exp=true#ht_1168wt_1167 Anyone care to weigh in on this one? It clearly needs some love, but the bones look to be in good shape. Are the missing emblems at the rear a sign of major body work or is that just because the entire tub is a replacement?
SOLD: 1976 FJ40 Wichita KS http://wichita.craigslist.org/cto/3691329309.html Found this on craigslist. Just wondering if anyone has taken a look at it or knows the guy selling it. Don't think i've seen it on here but maybe. It looks good to me. Can anyone pick out any glaring details. I am in the market after giving up on my rustbucket for the mean time. I would rather drive one then work on one at this point. Thanks.
