I am selling my 1978 FJ40. It's been in my family since 1990, but I need some money to pay for college for the kids. It has been everything from a daily driver to work truck in the desert, but lately it has been mainly sitting.
Original 2F engine with 106000 miles. Still runs very strong.
31" BFG's with 90% of tread remaining.
Has some superficial rust, with one spot near drivers door that has worn through.
No hard top, I have a bikini top, half doors, and full soft doors.
Obviously, this car is 35 years old so there are some issues with paint and body nicks. For somebody with the time and ability, this car would be great to restore to original condition.
I would love to keep this Cruiser and pass it on to my kids, but...
I'm reluctantly parting with my FJ40. It's been a great companion over the years and I know someone else is going to have as much fun with it as I have.
The rig has 32" tires with classic white spoke wheels.

1969 landcruiser silver exterior, black interior, all rust has been cut out and replaced including new quarter and rocker panels, the paint is a base coat clear coat 3 of each. The vehicle has a 6in lift and 33x12.50x15 mud terrains on 15x10 wheels.it has the original 6cyl. And 3 speed manual trans seats are the factory seats with new foam and vinyl. Just putting a feeler out there but I just sold my last car and now I am on the hunt for another fourty again! Not to serious right now but as soon as spring rolls around I will be ready to buy. Heck if its a good deal I would jump on it now but anyways let's get to my requirements. As far as those go I really don't have many. It has to be a driver, not looking for a complete restoration or a complete off road rig as my price range will be from 3 to 5k and that will have to include shipping. Back to the requirements, has to have power steering, disc brakes, 4 speed, and preferably a stereo. A 2f is preferred. I honestly don't care as much about cosmetics as I know my price range won't really leave me with anything...

Good shape overall, some rust not much. runs and drives great
2F motor and 4 spd orig xfer case had shift converted. 2.5 inch lift, powertrax locker in rear. have a new set of trailmax low back
buckets for it, new sending unit for fuel and new speedo cable
windshield mount mirrors for it also. no leaks or drips tko are about 85% 265 85 16's have a set of 17 inch wheels for it also
good soft time doors are in good shape.

Feb 77 with 7900 actual miles. Truck was in Kentucky from day 1 at an airport. It's sole purpose was to clear the runway when it snowed. Truck is all there but is rusty. It is said that it runs but I haven't gotten that far yet. Would make for. Great resto project or use it to remove snow from your driveway or business lot. Gonna start at $4000 and see what happens. 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40

This is a solid truck that runs great and passes smog with flying colors. It's a bit of an ugly duckling that has quite a few upgrades including a 4" suspension lift, advanced handling shackle reversal kit, rear fender flares, 31" BFGs and diamond plate quarter panels. It has an auxiliary fuel tank inlet installed so adding an auxiliary tank will be a breeze, but the previous owner removed the aux tank. This FJ has only a very little surface rust in areas - rear sill was completely replaced by previous owner and is rust free. It's setup with a custom heavy duty winch-ready bumper and 2" receiver hitch in back. Needs new seats and the front right fender needs some loving or replacing...
What do you guys think of this?
Unfortunate that it has a rhino liner inside, I know.
