My '71 FJ40 Cruiser has been parked and unregistered since 1975 and has only 57k original miles. It has been indoors this whole time so it's rust-free. I recently removed the drive train from a diesel BJ60 and have it on the floor ready to install into this FJ40. My price will include completion of engine and transmission swap. I also have parts to convert front end to disc brakes. If the buyer wants to finish the project him/herself you could take everything for $7,000 (includes truck, engine, transmission, harness, brackets) or I will effectively have an updated BJ40. The transmission is a later 1983 4-speed with rare Fairey overdrive and the engine is a legendary Toyota 3B Diesel with tons of low down torque. Will cruise on the freeway at 80 mph and get 30+ mpg. This engine and transmission combo is great for 4 wheeling, too.
